Shocking that the Heat are up 3-0 considering what a bad match-up it was for them.

I have no idea why anyone would even predict an upset in the NBA playoffs to begin with. It has to be the most predictable league on Earth. If blowouts, predictability. and poor-sportsmanship is your thing the NBA is where it's at.

San Antonio as a #1 seed lost to the #8 seed last year.

Exception to the rule; it's only happened twice in the history of the league (Warriors/Mavericks being the other time). The top ranked seeds went 5-1 in the first round last season (the Spurs being the only team that lost), not counting the 4 vs. 5 matchups which there usually is no clear favorite.

In 2008 the top ranked seeds went 8-0
2009 7-1 (a 5 beat a 4)
2010 6-2 (a 5 beat a 4)
2011 6-2 (a 5 beat a 4)

2012 appears to be no different, the top ranked seed either leads or is tied in every series. The only way a higher seed will lose is because of an injury (Rose and Allen particularly).

Just to compare that to the NHL in the same time period:
in 2007 5-3 (a 5 beat a 4)
2008 4-4 (both 5 seeds won)
2009 6-2 (both 5 seeds lost)
2010 4-4 (a 5 beat a 4)
2011 6-2
2012 4-4

So about picking the Knicks.....whoops. I mean in theory it was a good matchup for them, but in reality they just aren't a very cohesive offensive unit. Their defense has actually been pretty good this series, but the offense has been awful. Realistically Indiana is probably the only team who can stop Miami from coming out of the East. Boston maybe, but I don't think Boston can score enough to beat Miami.

Chalk it up as another embarrassment for Philadelphia, cheering on Joakim Noah after he hit the floor in pain after he twisted his ankle. Seeing Joakim Noah twist his ankle looked really bad.

Gotta admire Joakim Noah for his big heart, but man he shouldn't even be out on the floor as he is limping around.

I think the Bulls are just shell shocked from losing Rose. Without Rose they probably don't think they can win it all, their offense has been pathetic the last two games.

Shaping up to be a Heat-Celtics, Thunder-Spurs final 4. Can't count out teams like LA but the Thunder look amazing.

Celtics aren't really the higher seed though. Hawks now have lost Josh Smith so the point is moot.

Dallas is swept by the OKC Thunder tonight! They become the 5th team in NBA history that fails to win a playoff game the following season, also they join the 2006/2007 Miami Heat as the only other team to be swept under the current best-of-seven format

The lockout followed by a shortened seasoned really screwed with NBA fans heads, mine included. Last year's playoffs were unbelievable, most notably when it was capped off with Miami choking in the finals and Dirk earning his first championship.

But this year I have been unable to get back into the NBA, have pretty much wrote off this season and followed the NHL playoffs a lot closer.

The second round of the NBA playoffs should be much better, especially in the West if we see Thunder vs. Clippers and Lakers vs. Spurs.

It would be Thunder vs Lakers, Spurs vs Clippers in your scenario.

WTF? That has to be one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen on a basketball court, she kinda of looks like she is wasted too.

Well I think as we enter week 2 of the playoffs that I can't really see anyone beating San Antonio. I give OKC the best chance, but the Spurs are playing offensive basketball at the higest level I've seen in a while, a legit 10-deep team.
