Why not? What do 100 year old stats have to do with the last 20 years?

It isn't like the Bombers have had a ton of opportunities either. I think the Riders have 4-6 appearences since 89. Bombers have 2? 3?

Riders learned pretty quick that you can go from GC to last pretty quick. Surprised the Bombers aren't showing a little more caution considering how terrible they've been in the last 4 years.

All the more reason to enjoy it while they can.

And when was the last time Winterpeg won a GC? 25 years ago?

Anytime fans from rival cities can give the gears like that to Roughrider fans, it's a truly wonderful thing.

Yes, yes we do.

In other news, Fantuz says he didn't get a fair shot with da bears.

“I can’t say it was a huge surprise. Its been a frustrating pre-season, haven’t really got too much playing time in the games and limited reps in practice. It seemed like they [were] pretty committed with the guys they had and the guys they wanted to keep. That didn’t include me so unfortunately, whether it was bad timing or just a bad situation, whatever it is it was nothing that I could control. It’s just unfortunate,” he said in a video blog posted on his website.

The Argos are horrendous on every level of the game...almost as bad as the Roughriders....and that is saying something.

Considering how much he cries on the field after his numerous drops this comes as no surprise.

I think the Argos are even worse than the Roughriders.

Begs the question on how the Stamps managed to lose to them in the season opener.

A kicker with a torn quad.

With a healthy Kicker the Stamps win that game by 10 points.

It was the season opener and if Maver made the kicks he should of, the Stampeders would of won.

Bombers defense looks very ordinary today. Not much of a pass rush. Of course, it doesn't help when your offense is not very good.

No surprise that the Riders are getting a lot of favorable calls in this game.

But dumb to give it to Reid in that spot when it is easy to push the Priders D-Line off the line of scrimmage.

Boy the Bombers really stunk out the joint on both sides of the ball today. It's pretty rare in the CFL to see an offence not even get a single sniff at the end zone. Pierce was brutal today. The defence can only carry that pedestrian offence for so long and it's a matter of time until the Als climb past the Bombers for 1st in the east as the Bombers have a tougher 2nd half schedule.

I know TSN has to blow smoke up the Rider fans behinds but do we really have to hear this garbage about how this is such a "new team"?

The Riders have been very, very medicore. If this is the new Riders then as a Stamp fan I am very pleased.

They actually played as good on defence as they have all year. Obviously they had the benefit of playing a really poor Bombers offence but there's no doubt that they were the better team today.
