EDIT: Huberdeau had 4 SOG last year. There were 7 players with more SOGs.

Also this: first shooter on Soros in the loss to NSH to seal our season.

We can look at the stats

#4 has the best % on the team
#10 has the most goals on the team

Most attempts don't go in...that is why we get 10 shooters and 3 goals

It's easy to second guess after

It's a game thread, people discuss the game. It's a discussion board, people discuss elements of hockey. Stop attempting to shut down the lone purpose of this website, it's weird and arrogant.

% is all that matters, you can't compare guys with different amount of attempts otherwise.

So if you are 1 for 1 you are the greatest ever lol

He has been a fairly consistent SO scorer...the point is it's not an outlandish choice

When a poster opines on something that is unsubstantiated, they are vulnerable to a response. I don’t care whether you like the substantiated and correct response.

It wasn't a correct response, it an attempt to shut discussion

I didn't mean that, Huberdeau is a decent choice I guess at this point in the SO. I'm trying to remember how he did in Florida and it was ok IIRC.
I'm just saying you can't compare guys with different amounts of goals without looking at how many attempts they have.

Your responses lead me to believe that you are not fully sober.

My apologies if I am wrong.

Shootout percentage is a bad stat - the sample size is way too small (eg Ritchie last year).

But if you really want %, Huberdeau had a decent percentage last year.

Attempt to shut down discussion and when it doesn't work accuse someone of being drunk.

% doesn't work well if you don't have enough of a sample size, true. But looking at absolute numbers never works without looking at how many attempts there is. Someone could have (theoretically) 100 SO goals but 1000 attempts, 10% still isn't good.

edit: I don't think Huberdeau is a good choice atm but at the same time I'm not sure who would be. So I was ok with him shooting.

No one cares who he is, we all know. An appeal to authority argument is ridiculous.

Appeal to authority is only a fallacy if the authority is irrelevant.

Timbit is, in fact, an authority on this subject. He is well qualified to point out when someone's opinion is unsubstantiated.

I, on the other hand, am not an authority on hockey. But I am well qualified to point out the difference between ‘shutting down discussion’ and laughing at someone who says foolish things. You have not been silenced, only butthurt.

That never happened ;"I didn't know we had so many shootout experts" isn't pointing out anything.
