There he goes again, bad decision hitting the approach shot to the backhand.

Geez, just a terrible time for Milos to play one of the worst tie-breakers of his career. No points earned by Shapo or Milos, meanwhile Jack Sock was the leading point getter for Team World. Never would have guessed that would have happened.

for a bit during that tiebreak Milos went all slices but when those started floating long, he moved on to dumping every two hander into the net...that has to be some shoulder/arm problem right? it was kind of hard to watch.

Still likely getting over a left glute issue, Jack.

If you watched the presser he was pretty clearly joking.

Shapo off to a good start in Chengdu. Gets his revenge on Berankis for the Wimbledon thing and beats him 6-4, 6-3. Faces Bradley Klahn next.
Pospisil not quite so lucky as he goes down to team World Laver Cup member Jordan Thompson 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.

FAA's match will be tomorrow at approx 2:30 AM eastern standard time (depending on when the Evans-Dimitrov match finishes) and he will face Sousa.

Milos has withdrawn from the Tokyo tourney, but has a pretty full slate to end the year including participating in the Davis Cup for Canada.https://twitter.com/user/status/1176904128724897795 |

			Shapo scrapes past Klahn 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).
FAA & Sousa going into the 3rd set.

Felix with some beastly serving 17 aces & only 1 DF also serving at 74% 1st serves in. And just aced Sousa 4 in a row to tie set 3 at 1 a piece!

Not sure how well (or not) FAA played because I was only following this on the ATP site but this is a huge missed opportunity for Felix, especially so because his next opponent looks like it will be Lloyd Harris.

Well, we now know that Shapo's next opponent will actually be Belarus' current best Egor Gerasimov.
Gerasimov just beat Isner a few moments ago to earn this next round matchup with Shapo.

Shapo better play at a reasonably high level because Gerasimov has been redlining and playing the best tennis of his life for a solid month.

I watched Egor Gerasimov at the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open about six weeks ago and while he has a big serve, the rest of his game wasn't all that great. Obviously, he's found lightning in a bottle as last week he made it all the way to the semi-final of the ATP St. Petersburg tourney where he lost 7-5 7-5 to Daniil Medvedev. Big opportunity here for Shapo.

I watched a little of the FAA - Sousa match and what I saw was tennis of the highest quality, Felix played well in my opinion, Sousa just ended up winning the majority of the big points.
