I'm not a car guy, this is likely a stupid question but I can't seem to find a straight answer when I Google it.
On my car currently I have four tires: 215/60r16
One of which is balding/bald
In my shed I have a single 225/65r17
My stupid question, which I'm fairly certain of the answer but want to be wrong about is: Can I use the 225/65r17 with three 215/60r16s?
As I type it I feel like there's no way, but it'd be nice for my wallet if I could.
Your single tire needs to go on a 17 inch wheel and your car uses 16 inch wheels.
So your 17 inch tire/wheel is bigger and won't fit on 16 inch wheels. It is also bigger because it is 225 mm wide and has a sidewall height that is larger than your other tires. (65 vs 60)
Even if you could mount it on a 17 inch rim it would likely put stress on suspension and steering components.
Here's a good website to learn about sizes and comparing.

If you wanna hobble around like a car with a donut spare... I'm sure you technically could.
I think you're better off seeing if you can can find a 16 on facebook market place or Kijiji or something. Like a less bald a freebie or cheapo pair for someone doing an upgrade etc.

That's pretty much what I expected but thought I'd ask to be sure.
Thanks guys

If you absolutely had to use it to get home or to a shop or something just make sure you put it on the non drive axle. So for a FWD put it on the rear. It's really bad for the diff, particularly if its limited slip, to have mismatched tires as they rotate at different speeds. Same for donut spares.

It looks like a vinyl sticker. So bad. How does the guy who came up with this design language still have a job? Him and the Lexus grill guy must have serious blackmail material on people, becuase it turns off so many buyers.
It's a flat piece styled to look like a grille, yeah -- most EVs are doing exactly that since they don't require an open radiator grille for cooling on account of not having radiators.
BMW has woefully lost their way. I am still of the opinion that the E46 and E39 (3-Series and 5-Series, respectively) were peak BMW... their slogan was still 'The Ultimate Driving Machine' and you knew they meant business when you got behind the wheel of one.

Agreed... BMW peaked about 20 years ago. In addition to the E46 & E39, the Fisker-designed Z8 is a future classic and something that seems unfathomable for the BMW of today to produce. The Bengle-era was the beginning of the end and they've never really recovered since (but at least they used that magical V10 in the M5 & 6!).
There have been very few models since that I would consider to be compelling in their segment.

That one became a classic as soon as it came out. They were expensive at MSRP, and have only gotten more so (probably around $200K for one now). Apparently doesn't drive as good as it looks, but man does it look good!
I just looked through the BMW website, and amongst all the cars, there wasn't one that I would call attractive.
Let's be fair, late 90's to early 2000's was the peak for all the German brands.
I think Audi had a lot of momentum in the mid-2000's as they kind of pioneered the big grills that have dominated the industry for the past decade. That has petered out as their designs have got pretty boring of late as there's not a lot of differentiation between current and past gens as they have taken the big grilles as far as they can take them and will probably have to look to reinvent them at some point.
IMO, most of the German brands look worse than they used to. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW...all of them have taken a step back from their glory years. Porsches still has a fairly good looking design language, but I may be little biased there (even if the 80s/90s are still the peak for me).
