Talk about stating the obvious. Was he even watching hockey before he came out of retirement?

Also, Chiasson is an ok stop gap, but in no way is he one of the players driving that team. Replace him with practically any top 6 winger from a team not called the Oilers, and their production would go up.

Chia was given president of hockey operations when he got hired, taken away from Lowe after 7 glorious years. Good money that was part of Chias terms of employment, thst Lowe wasn’t meddling day to day. And for a year or two I think that was truly the case, letting the GM and coach try and fix Lowe’s mess, and having McDavid under their wing, not Lowe’s.

Lowe is just part of the OEG along with Wayne and Nicholson, and is the alternate governor, in title.

But Lowe has regained his voice and influence with Katz the last year or so, now that the shine has worn off and the playoff appearance long forgotten (long live cinco de chokeo).

3 goals and 2 assists for Morgan Frost tonight. Passed over in the 2017 draft by the Oilers for the great Kailer Yamamoto. E = NG.

Unbelievable homer analysis on Sportsnet. Oilers trail 4-2 and you would think they just won a playoff series listening to them.

4 goals on 6 shots then on Koskinen? Ouch, he's been their best player this season. If his game falls off the inevitable lottery day parade is within reach.

I actually think DeBrusk is decent and somewhat underrated. The material he has to work with isn't great, and it's likely challenging to build a story where the Oilers are still in a game
Quinn is terrible, though.

DeBrusk WAS good but has gotten a lot worse this season

I was hoping for Koskinen to get 6x6 and then start to play this bad with the oilers being stuck in a another bad contract

Debrusk was good when he got games around the league and away from the Oilers the first time as an announcer. He was a bum as a player too.

Then the Oilers brought him back exclusively.

Shannon was ok too at times, but then he too got pulled by the Oilers to sniff McDavids farts and do the intermission panel.

I'm assuming Rogers Sportsnet who also is the company sponsoring the Edmonton arena with big time money is going to make sure everybody drinks the Kool-Aid.

It's all a big money game for them, pump them up for television the arena is doing well. It's just business at the end of the day.

Debrusk was fine when he is doing games that doesn't not involve the Oilers but when he is doing Oilers games, he is just as insufferable as all those orange kool-aid drinkers.

Mcdavid just shy of 28 mins played. That is crazy. 2 points tonight but still a -1.

Man that loss to the oilers really stings, instead of being up a even 10 points we could be up 14.

Wow, never heard a coach blame everything on injuries like that. Pretty much discredits all the fill ins. They will surely be pumped for next game. Cowardly interview by Hitch.

He actually said they played 55 minutes of good hockey tonight. I guess I was watching a different game.

It's almost 2019, so let's take a look at some numbers.

Tobias Rieder - 0 goals this season
Milan Lucic - 1 goal this season
Ryan Spooner - 2 goals as an Oiler
Valentin Zykov - 0 goals as an Oiler
Ty Rattie - 2 goals this season

Yeesh.
