Re-watched the map scene again.
Greyworm said that half of the unsullied are gone.
Jon said half of the Northmen are gone.
The lord from the Eyrie took half of the knights of the vale pieces
The Dothraki at the meeting also only took half of the Dothraki pieces.
Was expecting way more than that especially of the Dothraki

Even though most everyone was battle beaten and exhausted they still had the energy and resources to create the neatest and most elaborate grand burning ritual imaginable.

Wonderful episode that reset us back to the story telling, character development, and political gaming that so many fell in love with in the first place.
At this point I just can’t see a satisfying storyline where someone wins the throne. My prediction is an outcome without a throne or a capital. They’ll be destroyed. They are the source of all that troubles a peaceful realm. Each of the kingdoms will become their own standalone entity.
This also nicely sets up a bunch of spinoffs.

What was she doing then? Why show any of the dragons were still alive for all Cersei knew they were killed in battle. Element of surprise is one of the most fundamental military strategies not to mention you protect your most important weapon at all cost.
Dumb writing they wanted another dragon to go down and took the easiest way out.

The Prince who was Promised prophecy didn’t really get fulfilled.
Tyrion’s Line about prophecy being an untrained mule really explains how the show treats it.
It informs the characters actions but does not bind the future. So I don’t think results that break prophecy are impossible.
This was another great episode. I think Sansa ends up littlefingering Danys death. She already moved the first piece by informing Tyrion.

She was flying her dragons back to dragon stone and protecting her fleet from Eurons fleet. The dragons were going what they were supposed to.

What am I missing here? Cersi and Euron and their forces could have easily toasted Dany et al including her last dragon right there on the beach.

So at the end when Cersei makes it plain as day that she will not yield, why did she not fire all of those ballista and end Danerys and her last dragon for good? She's not the type of person to give a crap about the rules of parlay. Hell by the end I was hoping she would since the allies have been so damn stupid in their military strategies
Also for all the great actors and characters they've had on this series, I'm really bummed that one of the apparently greatest military leaders of all time is a tool like Euron Greyjoy, who is blessed with magical ballista autoloaders

Purpose of episode:
- Dany for all her talk is not meant to be a white knight
- nor is Jon
- Tyrion is losing his touch too
- Jamie showing true colors (still think he kills Cersi)
- Cersi is more evil than night king. He was an appetizer.
- Doesn’t take long for man to revert back to old habits (tribalism)
- meathead Euron cannot die soon enough
- oh and keeping consistent with the show. The victor will surprise us. It will be somebody obvious but but not obvious.
- lots will probably die next episode.

Oh, and the most egregious slight of that whole episode was Jon leaving Ghost with only a forlorn look. Just pet the damn dog

Yeah, that was silly. If they can take out a moving dragon from concealment around a corner at a distance, why aren't they taking out the stationary one right outside their walls. Also, killing Tyrion would have been a good decision as well.

This whole annyoing/crazy Dany timeline could have ended right there. Cersei just kills everyone with arrows.
Then it becomes Aegon vs Cersei. Woo!

Would you prefer that scene with a nameless unsullied speaking with a nameless solider who each report back then the next day the soldier gives the unsullied mesandies head?
In a real war it plays out like that. I’m okay with some licenses taken to have characters talk face to face.

I simultaneously like that character and hate how he's used. The actor is great, I like how he's portrayed. His first ambush in the dark, lame, but ok, I can buy it. Captain ambush on a flying target on a clear day is a little much. He can see a flying dragon, she can't see a fleet of ships?

Also, maybe now Dany will think about dragon armour?
This show started with no direwolves and dragons and I bet it'll end that way too. Drogon, you're next!

Yeah, Ghost really deserved a "Good dog" pat before being sent north. Seemed out of character for Jon not to give him that at least
