Felix with a break to love and is serving at 3-2 in set 2. Just an incredible return game from FAA, Wolf is playing very well, just Felix hitting some amazing shots.
Edit: Follows up a break to love with a service hold to love. Nice.

Such a big win for several reasons:
1) The title obviously
2) Solidifies his position for the finals in Turin
3) Will be back in the top 10 on Monday

I can't wait to see the Hugh Clarke breakdown of this match (assuming he does one), a few things I noticed today that are paying dividends:
1) Backhand down the line - Felix was willing to get out of the backhand-to-backhand crosscourt pattern by striking his backhand down the line. It surprised Wolf as his forehand is certainly his best stroke and Felix either forced an error or received a weak return.
2) Consistency on the forehand - Not sure if there has been a small technique change or Felix is just feeling it of late, but the forehand has been rock solid for the last few weeks. At times, I see him hitting it a little softer, but I also see him hitting to bigger targets. His forehand is still plenty big enough to give his opponents all kinds of trouble.
3) Big time serving on pressure points - Felix was hitting his serve well today and the entire week his serve was on fire. I think I read that in his four matches this week, he hit a total of four double-faults. That's very impressive.
4) Showing more emotion - Gill Gross picked up on this recently and I think it's a salient point, at the Davis Cup and Laver Cup, Felix was outwardly celebrating his winners and showing more emotion than usual which is an excellent way of relieving tension on the court. I think Felix has been guilty in the past of keeping things bottled up inside and in my opinion it has been to his detriment. Nothing wrong with showing your opponent that you're engaged in the match and displaying positive body language.
Anyway, thank you for coming to my Ted Tennis Talk

I mean, I know I'm biased, but Daniel Nestor should be a shoo-in for the International Tennis Hall of Fame. 8 Grand slams (career grand slam) in doubles, 5 more grand slam titles in mixed doubles. Olympic gold medal in doubles in 2000, plus his Davis Cup play. It's an impressive resume.

Sabine Lisicki has been announced as the first entry into the women's draw of the Calgary National Bank Challenger. One would assume Rebecca Marino is slated to take part since she was used on the promo material announcing the women's tournament.
Full player draw announcement is October 24th @ 11am in the Core shopping centre on their tennis court they are putting on the 2nd level again.

Rebecca Marino just advanced into round 2 of the WTA 1000 event in Guadalajara with a 6-2 7-6 win over Ann Li. Bianca also looking good to advance over Jil Teichmann.

A little bit of a wobble late for Bianca serving for the match at 5-2 in set 2 as she was broken, but she closes it out to love in her next service game to take it 6-2 6-4 over Jil Teichmann. Later today Leylah hits the court versus Belinda Bencic.

She just won set 2 courtesy of a Bencic double-fault. This has not been a high quality match, but it is a very engaging match.

Bencic double faults to end it, 12-10 Fernandez and it goes to a third set.

The crazy thing is Leylah could have and should have won this in straight sets, but the incredible thing is she also saved five match points in set 2.

Tough one for Leylah, still considerable rust due to lack of match play. Number one priority is to improve that serve though.
