Went to Pza once. Then couldn’t figure out why I’d ever go again when I just go to up the road to Double Zero for the same thing but better.

I’m not sure that location is cursed based on the list of what’s been in there. I think it’s just had mid tenants.

It's the white man part of Calgary, next restaurant just needs to deep fry everything.

That place was ridiculous. Just...ridiculous. Terribly overpriced and just enormous, I cannot even fathom what the rent on that place must have been which tells you why the food was so expensive.

I've been to ones in the USA and they used to be packed when there's some sort of game on pre-2020. They were about the same size down there.

Right but it depends on where...Calgary and MacLeod rents are not the same as a strip mall in Shelby Montana.

Some info about the neat stuff happening on 34 Avenue SW in Marda Loop. It is nice to see a developer preserving some history through adaptive reuse while still giving the area something new and unique.

We got a condo across the alley backing on to that. Love what they are doing to that strip. Always thought it should be little boutique restaurants and cafes and it happed. Do a little mini pub crawl. Like Portugal or something. Dopo there and Bonjour, Le Comptoir, that wine bar. Theres a hidden speakasy type place. OJ's can beat it.

Marda Loop is like 17th and Kensington without the bums.

Imagine a place where's there a public bathroom that's not locked.

I used to park there occasionally, I once took the stairs. Homeless guy in there got really angry at me for doing that.

Meh...The Hop-in-Brew made this cool before it was cool.

Typical yuppies thinking they're doing something 'original.'

This is not really yuppies thinking they are doing something original but rather a Gen Z reporter thinking she stumbled upon something innovative. There have been countless businesses along 34th that have operated out of old repurposed homes going back a long time. I don't know when it really started but I know it has been happening for at least 30 years. Much of the block between 18th and 19th Street was businesses operating out of old homes.

But they were terrible businesses. Old lady clothes and nail salons. Just absolute crap. Rich mount royal husbands wives hobby businesses.

Restaurants in the same complex:

* Chopstix Filipino Restaurant

* The Rockfort Chettinadu and Indian Cuisine

* Namo bistro (Asian-fusion brunch)

* Macau Imperial Tea

* Costa Fresh Mexican Grill

* BBQ Korean Chicken

* Osmow’s Shawarma

* Gaucho Brazilian Barbecue

Pza was the whitest restaurant of the bunch.
