Yea this isn't out of the question Reinhart fell to 4th and was ready next season. MacKinnon spent a lot of time playing RW this season because of Colorado's center depth.

I don't think "Gaudreau - Monahan - Reinhart" is a line for next season.

Interesting how everyone has forgotten about Blair Jones. He plays RW, is bigger than and has better numbers than Baertschi in the AHL, plays with an edge and we could use his cap hit.

Don't think Hartley is a fan of Jones. He won't get his chance here.

I get the same impression. Guy never seems to get a chance with the Flames.

I agree with that, but I still think if the Flames draft an NHL ready center it's not unrealistic to think he would play the wing (and fill in at center for injuries) for a season or two.

Hartley screaming at him during the lockout shortened season, sent down the next day and didn't return for the season.
He got some games this season due to our many injuries, but I would be surprised to see him back for next season.

Doesn't mean or make it right. I hope we sign him, give him a chance and if he doesn't make it, he's probably a good trade addition.

Blair Jones is a UFA, it's not like it's the Flames decision alone.
Ashasx is right. The falling out between Blair Jones and the coaching staff was well documented, and despite establishing himself as a useful depth player the season before under Brent Sutter, he hardly touched NHL ice after it.
I highly doubt Blair Jones is going to be back in Calgary.

B.Jones is not a fit anyway. Not good enough for the top 9 and the flames 4th line looks relatively set with several prospects ready for a taste

I recall someone relaying that Feaster said that Hartley doesn't believe Blair Jones is a NHLer at a season ticket holder's meeting.

I'm failing to see how this comment is needed. He pointed out some facts. He didn't call anyone any names, or talk down to anyone. If anyone needs to lighten up, its the ones getting all bent out of shape for saying B. Jones probably won't be back.

Blair Jones would be good to keep around for our AHL team but he'll probably be looking for greener pastures.

It wasn't about the B. Jones comment, all the comments I see from him are negative things.

The prospect of Reinhart dropping to us at 4th is ideal.
We're going to get a great prospect again this season.

In my opinion the Oilers take Bennett > Draisaitl > Reinhart.
Bennett has the grit that the Oilers need and Reinhart is another skilled centre to add to RNH, Gagner, whereas Draisaitl brings them size down the middle. I hope Bennett is gone at 1st overall because I think that gives the Flames the best pick possible.

I think Bennett is beginning to be a pick that we won't likely get. Florida is even considering their 1st OA for the guy. I think Buffalo fans are starting to go Bennett > Reinhart. Edmonton has three options: Ekblad, Bennett, and Draisaitl.
From what I see, Edmonton will pick Draisaitl because Florida and Buffalo will pick Ekblad. I won't mind this situation because it then gets Calgary Reinhart.
