In other news a federal appeals court has upheld Maryland's ban on assault rifles. Common sense gun control? I expect the NRA will completely lose their collective minds.
Same general assault weapons ban as California etc. There are easy workarounds and it's pretty much meaningless as what defines the ban is the cosmetic features like pistol grip, stock, launcher, suppressor, forward grip, etc. can be easily changed out with law-abiding substitutes. It just means gun nuts can't enjoy some of the fancy furniture on their guns but it doesn't change any of the accuracy or deadliness of what they are allowed to have.
Ending guidance from the Obama administration, Trump’s new policy aims to allow states to establish their own rules for transgender students in some settings — such as requiring transgender boys to use the girls restroom — without objection from the federal government.
The Trump administration on Wednesday issued new guidelines that roll back an Obama administration policy that had been designed to reduce anti-transgender discrimination in public schools.
In issuing new school guidance, the Department of Justice and Department of Education sent a letter to public schools that said the departments “have decided to withdraw and rescind the above-referenced guidance documents in order to further and more completely consider the legal issues involved. The Departments thus will not rely on the views expressed within them.”
The Donald having a nice little meeting with "manufacturing CEOs". He opened the press conference with this:
"Some of the great people in the world of business. Many of you I know, many of you know I from reading all of our wonderful magazines."
Very slick, Donald. Subtle. Make sure everyone knows you surround yourself with the best, only the best, and that you read all the best magazines.
Then of course goes on to brag about the election, and how so many people are saying they just can't believe all he has accomplished in 30 days. They are amazed.
It would be an interesting case for the Enforcement Act.
It would also allow a precedence as a Unit Commander would be well within his rights to disobey a direct order from the National Command Authority.
I'm no expert on using the military for civilian matters, but responding to a natural disaster, protecting federal and civilian assets and enforcing order in a time of disaster is a big difference from going door to door and rounding up Illegal Immigrants.

All part of the game. See how far things can be pushed, crazier, crazier, crazier...OK take a break. Then it's "Don has been more reserved and presidential lately" and then when everyone settle down BAM bust em in the chops with something literally insane. "He'd been better lately, maybe this is well thought out. Let's give it a chance."
Rinse and repeat whilst lapdog Chaffetz does nothing to slow him. He's not going anywhere, this game plan is solid and is working amazingly. The general public is already past outrage fatigue so now he will ride it out. It's one been one friggin month. One.
