But even filtering those things out, there are still enough questionable decisions to build a case that he isn't good at managing a contender. IMO.

I'm largely with you but just so I'm really with you, could you please give an example of one of these you don't like (filter out those other considerations). Not trying to challenge your view, I'm just genuinely curious on what you didn't like specifically.

How about we discuss the next example that I don't like? Because trying to remember specific little decisions like that is a tax on my aging and rapidly failing, memory.

Also, looking at past examples opens the door for bias and hindsight (on all sides)

Let's see Vladdy have a response to Ohtani in this game.

Watching this game and I love Vladdie but Ohtani definitely deserves MVP. Without Ohtani Angels are probably ten games below .500. The Jay's without Vladdie? He's a great player but this team is so deep it's hard to say he has more of an impact.

I love his personality. Him and Kirk seem like good buds out there. So many great characters on this team. They're impossible to hate.

They really need to go on a run here, tomorrow against Shohei and then a 8 game stretch against the Mariners/Nationals/Tigers... 7 of 9 or better sure would be nice.

Jays now have the 2nd best run differential in the AL with +132, behind only Houston.
11 games over .500
4th place in their division
lol

116 better than the Yankees in 111 games.
Yet trail them by half a game
