Last comment. At :46 there appears to be a mix between TNG klingon and Disco Klingon, wearing disco klingon armor, whipping something that appears to be much more disco klingon looking. I hope they don't go back to disco klingons or try to justify any of that. Just let it die.
the Gorn at :50 is terrifying. Much scarier than Kirk's gorn.

It's a Disco Klingon ship for sure, and the uniform, but I *think* it was the non weird make up.

We do know that the tech existed for some cultures as far back as ENT season one. But yeah, curious how they hand wave it away.

Farpoint makes it clear that it's new a fangled thing. But from a production standpoint, it's like that in the Captains Log because it was new to audience more than anything.

In Voyager "Flashback" (where Tuvok is stuck in some sort of timey-loop with his past self on the excelsior) they mention that starfleet vessels didn't have holodecks installed until the late 24th century.
Riker also acts like it's something totally new and out there in the first episode of TNG.
I had forgotten about that episode of ENT when Tucker gets totally hooked on the alien holodeck. So I suppose they could be visiting someone else's ship?

Lol! I will never get over the Holosuites on DS9. That had to be a prank or something from the writers.
They pretty clearly *wink wink* show the audience thats its almost exclusively for sex purposes.
And yet...its carpeted and there are scenes of Quark vacuuming it. Like...carpet? Are you kidding me? No one go in with a black-light... 
The all-tile version on the Enterprise seems significantly more practical, especially when Barclay is on rotation....

That one episode where Quark is like... vacuuming? in it... I actually almost wrteched because prior to that it had never occurred to me what the floor of a holodeck must encounter.

Come on, even on the Holodeck Barclay could never work up the nerve to actuall **** Troi, or anyone else for that matter.
Riker on the other hand. That cat ran roughshod through the whole database of characters.
Except Minuet, he respected her too much.
