I think any Kadri signing is a gamble for the receiving team and yet I'd want him 100 times before Hall.
I'm a firm believer in building from the center out with established pairings and Nazem would set us up brilliantly for another couple of bids in this window, even though a winger seems more obvious.
If you can have, say, three really good pairings that you can roll, you can fill in those wings with up and comers like Pelletier and Dube. The Penguins made do with that kind of structure for years. They just let their play driving centers drive their lines and have middle six types rotate through their wings until they found a fit.
Skill down the middle can elevate lines, whereas skill on the wings doesn't do that quite as well.
