Trump getting capped would be a pretty interesting event. His movement is crazy to begin with so that might send them into a murderous rage. Particularly if the shooter is Mexican or Muslim.
Edit: Already suggested...

One of the Illinois co-chairs of Ohio Gov. John Kasich's presidential campaign is brushing off saying that the only way Trump can be beaten is with a "head shot."
The comment, by Pat Brady, a former chairman of the Illinois Republican Party, came in an interview with Illinois's WGN Radio about a week ago after the last Republican presidential debate and was flagged Doug Ibendahl, a known critic of Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner's administration, which Brady supports.
"If you're going to take on Donald Trump, you've got to take him out with a head shot," Brady said during the interview.
Not really. A lot of non-Democrats are angry with the Democratic establishment. But actual registered Democrats want to continue the Obama years at over a 70% clip. This is why Bernie won't be able to get the margins he needs to close the delegate gap, he has high disdain for the Democratic Party and hasn't embraced Obama at all.
So his numbers are flying outside the Dems base, but predictably he is struggling big time with the base. Also why he has no shot of getting the super delegates to back him since he's, well, a DINO in this case. He's only using the name Democrat because, ironically, he needs to use the establishment's in place infrastructure to have any chance of ever winning a general election.
Mostly registered democrats over the age of 40. Speaking with a staunch democrat at work the other day, a huge Hillary supporter, and she pulled out the "but he's a socialist" rhetoric. Especially democrats of senior citizen age, that's a terrifying thing for them to hear, even if his desire to expand social security would likely help them more than anything Hillary is going to do, let alone a GOP who wants to privatize and/or gut SS entirely.
I'm not sure what brought it on today, but my facebook feed was absolutely full of any number of anti-Trump posts today. He may be solidifying his own following, but he's also solidifying the resolve of those who are against him.

But that's sort of where the GOP and Dems are different, the Dems for the most part like their establishment, though they'd probably prefer Biden running and not Hillary, but otherwise more of the same of right now is what they're looking for. Bernie is more of an insurgency than Trump, Trump has effectively won over most of the core GOP base besides those hardcore constitutional folk, whereas Bernie has really only won the liberal base, which isn't the true Democratic base needed to win elections. I suppose in some ways it's just the wrong election for him, if the base were angrier overall perhaps he'd have more of a chance. But instead of 90% of the base being angry like the GOP, it's more like 35% for the Dems.

I wonder why the media finds it acceptable to, on one hand, denounce Trump for in their words inciting violence, and yet these types of articles by major news sources are numerous. NY Times have called for his assassination, and on CNN the other night the host while discussing this issue, kept mentioning that...
"You know, some people out there are... Unhinged. And they may... You know... Get a gun and go to one of his events, and... Well it could be bad. Because they could do something bad." -stare into the camera- "They could." -wink wink nudge nudge-
The Republicans, and the media are pulling out all the stops. I guess if they can't take him down with words then the next stop probably is to have a MK Ultra lemming take him out.

I agree the GOP is getting desperate, but I don't think a few improvident editorials are evidence of a conspiracy to do something like that. History tells us that would only make things worse anyway.
Trump is a flash in the pan; he has likely already lost this election cycle for the GOP, but my guess is he disappears after that and the party comes back much stronger in 2020.
Back on the subject of the primary, today is a big day that should see things get a little bit more sorted out. Trump appears poised to coast to easy wins in Florida and North Carolina. Florida is winner-take-all, so that will be a huge blow to those who are still trying to stop him.
Ohio looks very interesting. It's an open primary (all voters can vote in either the Democratic or Republican primary), but polls indicate a close race between Kasich and Trump. Ohio is also winner-take-all, so if Trump wins there it is pretty much all over but the crying.
Missouri looks like it will be a two-way race between Trump and Cruz. Illinois looks favourable for Trump as well, though largely due to a vote split between the others.
All in all, this is a big day--we should have a very good sense of whether Trump is going to clinch before the convention by the end of today.

It'll be even more entertaining then...Trump vs. Kanye.

I think Trump has private security too...just to keep tabs on the secret service guys if nothing else.
Personally, I think Trump's security is there more for optics than anything. He wants to play up the "danger" aspect to build the cult of personality. I'm expecting him to go full Gaddafi with the entourage soon.

But, anyway, the bottom line is I look at Donald and said, “You and Marla (Maples) have to go. You’re fired.” He looks at me and goes berserk. I notice the three shtarkers he’s with, in trench coats, two of them are putting on gloves and the other one is putting on brass knuckles. I go on the walkie-talkie and I call for Jim Callahan, who was head of our security, and I go, “Jim, I think I’m in a bit of trouble.” And he says, “Just turn around.”
I turn around. He’s got 40 of the crew with tire irons and hockey sticks and screwdrivers.
“And now, are you gonna go, Donald?”
And off he went.

Well... "stronger" maybe, but only in a relative sense (in that they wouldn't have a buffoonish demagogue *Trump* and someone who was probably voted "most likely to be a serial killer" in high school *Cruz* as their leading candidates). I just don't see the Republicans coming back anytime soon... not so long as the Tea Party aspect of the GOP keeps holding it's elected officials hostage and continually making the party tent smaller and smaller.
