I doubt Karlsson would waive, but you never know. SJS will be really bad for a while, I think. Edmonton is No Good, but they might make the playoffs. I want them to drain whatever depth, future assets and flexibility they might have. Karlsson is No Good.

I would also love to see Edmonton strapped with Karlsson's contract, but i can't see it happening.
I was going to go to a Sharks game with my boys (team sucks so we haven't gone this year) over the weekend, but we couldn't be bothered. They have 5 home wins. That's it. Tickets are easy to get. STH's are going to be po'd this summer.
I'm not sure the owner wants to retain some of EK's salary for several years AND have a worse team and emptier seats.
The probability of Oilers taking on a big chunk of EK's salary AND him waiving to go to Edmonton seems small.

He could always request a trade out of Edmonton after a year or two. And I'm sure the Oilers would get market value for him.

It would be funny that Oilers give up multiple 1st and top prospect for him and he waives then right after the playoff, he demand a trade out of there and there's no bite that they have to retain salary and get peanuts back.

Don't think I have seen this in here yet.
Due to poor cap management send down Dylan Holloway, to buy some time to figure out what to do with JP since we haven't had enough time yet to figure that out. It will only be a few days, then we can recall him.
Dylan goes down and gets hurt out for at least 30 days, now it is going to cost him 10's of thousands of dollars.

Who? Dylan Holindaze? Holloway? Conridge Holloway? Doesn't ring a bell. Isn't he that former super hyped next generational player that was hyped by the fans of the Oilers and that teams management as the next great one, the missing piece.
I think he compares to Rico Fata.

I'd rather stay in SJ and miss the playoffs than live in Deadmonton and lose in the first round..
