Buck is still in Florida.
Dan and Pat called a game in the Rogers Centre but when Buck and Pat call games neither of them are in the park.

Don't know why the Sox are such a bogey team but it feels good to do to then what they do to us so often.
3-1 is exactly what we needed to do. Go Jays!

What an incredible homestand. 9-2 with the 2 being in extra's. Talk about chewing up ground in the standings. 3 back of the Sox. The Yanks lost today so 0.5 back of them. 2.5 up on Seattle. Going to be lots of fun watching this team down the stretch.

Too busy at work and missed the game.
Saw the score late and figured it was going to be an L but so happy for the clutch win!

Man, Barnes was about 5 feet away from giving up 3 straight game losing home runs. Tough series.

Yes, I was! Just an incredible game and atmosphere. You could really feel the crowd helping them out. Even when they were down as much as 7-2, the Jays were still being cheered heartily for defensive outs and good plays, etc.
Honestly feel that home-field advantage was the difference today

Bichette, Guerrero and Semien are 1-2-3 in the majors for runs scored
And Springer is on a better run per game pace than any of them!

Nothing but warm and fuzzies between the Jays fanbase and buck. This would tarnish that.

Didn't realize they were at home until today when they were talking over each other. Does explain the weird calls on fly balls

Because he's from Florida I tend to not give him the benefit of the doubt, and he's probably a conspiracy theorist. If so I wonder what his plan is for next season? Surely they can't go with his format into next season.
On another note, Mark Hebscher is a name I haven't heard in ages. He was the original main face of Headline Sports with Greg Sansone when it first launched. He was a pretty funny guy when I was a teenager watching him from what I remember. I wonder where his career has gone since, but he's looking so much older now?

Makes sense on Buck and some odd calls. They have it timed pretty good so the lag isn't there but that was a no doubter home run that made it sound.Again, with TV being the radio simulcast they also have to be descriptive so I get that too. Shulman has to be a couple weeks away unless he does calls from home.
Original Headline Sports when they went to personalites, was great. Hebscher, Sansone, Gaillard, Macalif,Seixero etc.Had that freedom of "we aren't a network" . They got the World Series rights in 1999 IIRC.

Buck Martinez ruins games for me. So this isn't a big deal for me, haha.

I did like Cheek and Howarth when they were in the booth as they did have a more classic sound of let the ballpark noises speak for itself. I think entertainment in general has moved away from that to some degree, perhaps with the shorter attention span we mostly have today, in favour of more conversation and analysis during the game. I don’t mind any of the current Jays broadcast people. In fact the crew as a whole is probably among the leagues best. I wish there was more silence at times. Tabler says slightly derp things at times but he just seems like a guy happy to be there, as opposed to McGuire in hockey trying to one up the audience.

And Friedman and Lebrun got their start there too. Back then I could stand Lebrun, now he’s got the ego and it’s annoying. Seixero wasn’t a talking head back then which was good. Now he just talks for hamming it up for the camera. Anyway, they had a solid cast of characters back then.
