Damn. I was afraid someone would say that. I don't think I've even seen the guy's clothes, just his face in newspaper pics.
I guess he's not gay. I was really hoping for a gay muslim for mayor, since my hopes of having a chick for mayor are dashed.

I see also that Hawkesworth is running a smear campaign against Nenshi. Looks like he's going out in a blaze of glory, however, I have yet to see anyone convinced by this tactic. Delusions of grandeur, I guess.

WTH does this guy have to gain by doing this? The guy reminds me of a professional athlete that falls out of favour of the coach, then starts moping and trash talking and demanding a trade. He's like the Terrell Owens of the campaign, except that TO was a pretty damn good football player. I don't think Hawkesworth is good at anything except trash talking.

Wicked awesome quote on McIver's campaign from Bell (whom I normally cannot stand):
Quote:
You ask such questions of a campaign where the word “whitebread” would be too flavourful an adjective.

I felt dirty clicking on an RB article, but I just had to read it. I actually agree with the guy for once.
Hey, were Rick Bell and Reggie Dunlop separated at birth? Their wordsmithing is awfully similar.

I can certainly understand why it would appear that way to monosyllabic troglodytes like yourself, but it's not the case.

I don't get why Hawkesworth seems to be focusing his attacks on Nenshi instead of McIver and Higgins (yes, he does have Facebook pages for them too, but he mostly seems to be anti-Nenshi). Unless he's a racist? He should be targeting the voters that want someone with experience as alderman, who are currently lined up behind McIvor.

Hawkesworth is in drowning mode.
Grab a hold onto anyone and everyone around and try and drag them down with you.

Maybe he just doesn't like Nenshi. Wouldn't surprise me...they really didn't get along at all in the CBC Eye Opener Debate.

calgarysun.com has a poll up
The latest poll shows Ric McIver and Barb Higgins at a virtual tie. Who would you vote for?
- McIver
- Higgins
- Neither
I'll be voting neither in this stupid poll.

ALL ABOARD!
|
The advance polling stations had 3206 people use them today. Compare that to 1616 on the first day in 2007.
It'll be good to see an increase in voter turnout. If anything, it seems this election has more people interested in it.
