The PS3 EASHL team qualified, and we have won our first two games.Everyone who played in their first game were surprised by it. We had no clue we were in playoffs! How about you xboxers?

For a team of developers that is quite engaged in the community via their website, twitter and facebook, these guys do kind of do a piss-poor job of communicating at times. There's a fairly high level of confusion about how playoffs work, the PS3 team didn't even know they were in playoffs, and as far as I can tell the most in-depth explanation of the controls came from Jobo about 2 weeks after the game was released (why wasn't that stuff in a tutorial somewhere?).

I won the Stanley Cup as a defenseman for Columbus in Beapro, its nice to see that the difficulty ramps up in each round of the playoffs.
It was also nice to see that they bought back the banner raising ceremony at your home opener the next year.
This game though is pretty generous with xperience points. My defenseman jumped from a 74 rating to a 80 rating in the span of a season.

In BAP I was on a breakaway and the defenceman hacked and broke my stick. I kept skating towards the net and was actually able to more or less push the puck up with my skates. It didn't go in but I wanted to try to score anyways. The puck went wide and it was funny to skate around without a stick until I went to go pick it up.

One thing thats really interesting is the chances of your stick snapping really go up in relation to your shot power.
Once my shot power for slapshots hit 99 I was busting to twigs a game.

did you get a penalty shot.
I did that to one guy, I hacked his stick and busted it, then I accidentily hit stick lift and high sticked him, then I rammed him into the boards.
It was the ultimate goon moment and I only served 2 minutes.

I'm glad they're amping up the experience points, in NHL09, it was frustrating to get 100+ points as a forward, but only go from a 78 to an 80. Now I don't have to buzz through the early seasons trying to make a player that can take a check and pass the puck.

I won the cup with Calgary as a LW on the top line in my first Be A Pro season.
I didn't get to see the banner raising though because that cheap bum sutter who never gives rookies a chance only offered me a 1 year, 1 million dollar deal, even though I put up 18 goals in the playoffs, and 48 in the regular season.
So I took LA's identical offer out of spite, and now enjoy lighting it up with Kopitar.

No, no penalty shot. No sticklift or ramming into the boards after the stick break but you think they would have called one. I think it's funny that once your stick breaks you can skate around and around forever without a stick until you decide to go pick it up. Does anyone know if you go to the bench if they give you another stick?

I've gone to the bench and gotten a stick automatically.
Also as a defenseman I can grab a forwards stick as well.

Well, it says I made the playoffs. Not sure what the criteria was.
Then there's an empty playoff bracket... anyone know how that all works?

Anyone know why my Be a Pro Player has a higher rating than my online player? I thought they were one in the same. If they aren't, how do I improve my online player?

It sets you up with a random player that's in the playoffs. Each win will advance you a round. Win four straight and you're one of the winners for the playoffs.

Yikes. I've never been so high on a game and then turned off so quickly.
I expected to meet some stacked teams in the playoffs, but it was ridiculous. After beating some team in the high 80s without much effort, I meet a team with 97 o, 94d and I don't know what their goalie was at, but it was varlamov and I can only assume he was at 99ov.
I totally dominate the guy, and varlamov makes ridiculous save after ridiculous save.
He gets into my end, flicks a wrister from the blue line... it goes in. Every @#$@#$ time.
Ends 5-2. So. Friggin. Lame.
I don't mind losing, but not like that.
What's the point of playing it just to meet ridiculous cheesers in the playoffs.
