Awesome taste.

I sold my Hayabusa in the winter, and am going bikeless this summer. But I want to find a nice clean Monster 900 for the next one. No more gonzo speed, I just want a nice quick Italian thumper to boot around town on Saturday nights, with a salad bowl on my head and some goggles.

Well after much debate I have sadly traded my 84 virago in for a quad. I wasn't riding much and I lost the ambition to even get my license so I felt it was time to move on to a new toy. I will be back later in life for a bike!

So my bike is having problems and I think I've figured out what the problem was (through the Yamaha forum). Anyway, has anyone had any experience changing the ignition coils/spark plugs on a bike. I assume some of you have done it, if so how difficult of a job is it? How long does it take, is it easy?

I have changed the plugs a couple of times on my Kawasaki. Just a matter of disconnecting the fuel line and taking off the fuel tank to get at them. You might need some extra extensions on your ratchet, but other than that, pretty straightforward. Haven't changed my coil (yet), but I can't imagine it's that complicated.

If you're going to do work on your bike(s), it might be an idea to pick up the service manual for it. I got mine through the dealer and refer to it all the time

Coils should be bolted right on top of the engine, or close to the plugs.
