Morrow just might not be ready yet. The kid only has a fastball and he doesn't seem to know when to use it or where to throw it.

Good. Encarnacion is brutal defensively.

7-1 heading into the bottom of the 5th. Eveland having a nice game, just gave up a solo HR.
Gonzalez having a nice night at the plate............Overbay really, really struggling. Cito should move him down in the order, otherwise teams will continue to walk Wells to get the easy out when Overbay comes up.

Overbay is brutal. With a lefty pitching and up by 6 put Ruiz in and sit Overbay. That plug.

Frasor closes it out nicely. Gonzalez with a really good night at the plate, good to see Snider get a homer and Lind continues to contribute.

Wednesday, enduring the added indignity of losing in front of the smallest crowd the team had ever drawn to Rogers Centre, with only 10,610 fans in the stands.
Attendance was not much stronger on Thursday -- 10,744 -- but there was no comparing the results on the field.

Come on T.O. show these guys some support. I'll guarantee you'll see some competitive ball from this group. You have no excuse! 22 bucks aint that bad. The Leafs and Raptors are out of the playoffs. I'm driving down to Seattle to see these guys next week!

Just 10 games in, but my take so far on a few things;
Overbay slumping right now is OK...only because guys like Gonzalez and Wells are playing over their heads. When they come back down, Overbay can't keep putting up K's in the middle of the lineup like this. They have to give Ruiz some at-bats, his stats last year were fairly massive for their sample size...that bat just sitting on the bench is such a waste.
The rotation so far looks good, sans Morrow. Once Zep-chin-ski is healthy, Morrow can move to the pen and the rotation should look even better. Gotta think Eveland will come down a little, but great so far for a number 5 guy. Marcum and Romero look really promising again, hope they can both stay healthy. Tallet is what he is...a guy that will go out, throw 6 innings and keep you in the ballgame. Not much more, usually not much less.
Nice to see 7 wins out of 10, and 9 ballgames that were winnable until the final out. Texas should be a good team this year and so should the White Sox, and a 4-3 record against those guys is respectable. Tack on a sweep of the hapless Orioles which should be beaten, and the Jays (albeit a tiny sample) are playing solid against good competition and beating up on the welterweights....a must have if they want to be decent.
Get Hill back in there and this should be fun.

Not the one...

Overbay isn't hitting but he is having good at-bats. I don't know where to look it up, but I'm sure he has the most pitches seen. Obviously he needs to start hitting and should take a game or two off against lefties, but IMO Overbay is still worth trotting out there.

Wow.. do the fans in TO really not care about the Jays this year.
Maybe they need to give up some first round draft picks for a 1 nutted star player to get some media attention.

Lewis is a career.286/.362/.420 against RHP in over 1000 ABs. He also plays decent D and has some speed. Considering Bautista has been totally godawful against right-handers his entire career, I would hope they look towards going with a bit of a platoon where Lewis reduces the amount of ABs Bautista sees against RH pitching.
Minor move but it should make the team better.

Or E5 is going to be placed on the DL and Bautista will have to be moved to 3rd Base.
Hopefully E5 Arm injury is not serious and only requires a day or two of rest but this trade makes a person wonder.

Way better career average and OBP than Bautista and better wheels. Sounds like more of a lead off hitter mold player than Jose. I wonder how his D is.
I had to laugh that he belongs to a facebook group called I hate people who only call for free tickets.

Man, Marcum may not throw fireballs but he has some wicked control.
Poop then gives up a HR as I say that.
