Reviving this thread since I didn't think it appropriate to make a new one.

Bought a new car and picked it up this past Friday.

2009 Aston Martin Vantage. Car is Jubilee Blue metallic (non-production color), with a Caspian Blue and Sandstorm leather interior.
4.7L V8, SportShift computer-shifted single-clutch 6-speed manual transmission.

Some photos.

Grazi. I'm quite pleased with it, just immensely fun to drive.

I've been looking hard at 2007 Vantages lately... awesome choice there.

Seconded.

I had the pleasure of driving a '14 S60 T6 a few months ago. It's seriously underrated.

The T6 is a beast of an engine, and it handles pretty good as well. Better than the Merc C-Class... from a driving perspective

Still drive the Kia. And it's still fine. In fact, it's better than some Aston Martin. Like soooo much better. I just have to wipe all these tears off the steering wheel...

Some sweet rides here. Old family guys like me have to have station wagons.

Sold my S4 to buy an A6. 2011 was the last year for the A6 wagon in Canada it seems.

Oh, and I also have a Kia wagon but it's not quite as photogenic

Love that A6 wagon. I assume they didn't come with a Manual option by that year?

Not as far as I can tell. I looked for the right one for about a year, and never did see a manual in an 09/10/11.

The dream continues to be that they bring the RS6 to Canada. Coincident with a large lottery win.

They're a real bargain. South Centre Porsche on Macleod Trail has a green 2008 for $69k, while there's a 2007 for $64.8k on AutoTrader.ca and the mileage is about 8,000 KM less on the 2008. AND the 2008 is a stick, which is awesome.

Only difference is they put a slightly bigger engine (4.3L -> 4.7L) starting in 2009, for a 50 HP difference. Oh, and your key is normal, so it won't cost an arm, leg, and a testicle/ovary to replace compared to the crystal keys in the 2009+.

Yeah the red '07 was the one catching my eye, but they' come up for sale more commonly than people might think and I'd go out of province (or even country) for one if the timing and price are right. There was actually a grey '07 in B.C. for sale in the fall for about $55k with under 50,000 km on it, looked outstanding (in pictures anyway).

It's probably not going to happen right away but it's in the cards somewhere in the not unforseeable future.

I just bought myself a 2014 BMW 535i with the M Sport package. Been a great car to drive.

.... I drive a Hyundai.

It might not be an Aston Martin or a GT-R but 274 hp, RWD still packs plenty of fun. Plus I named it after Eugenie Bouchard (Genie the Genesis) so suck it, Gill.

I really like the back end of that, as well as the profile, but not so much the front and headlights.

Yeah that's pretty much the consensus. I agree.

I absolutely despise the headlights and the hood. I never even considered it an option until I drove it.

Actually, I only went to Hyundai to look at the Tuscon and possibly a fully loaded Elantra. You know, "responsible", "practical" cars. However I asked to take the Genesis for a spin and I knew there was no going back.

Only car in my price range that could deliver that kind of fun.
