- While Jack is Jacob's replacement, I think he's going to die and Hurley will be Jack's replacement. Mostly because of the line "I'm glad it wasn't me"
- I think Desmond and Kate are on their way to a Drive Shaft concert at Daniel Widmore's (or was it still Faraday in the alternate reality?) birthday party.
- If that's how Richard dies I'll be pissed. His character deserves a better death, perhaps even one where he thanks his killer.
- I'm loving Desmond's character even more now.
- Ben has returned to his usual evil ways, I love it. I'm curious to see how Ben of the alternate reality matches up with Ben of the original timeline.
- So if Jack makes John walk again, how will that work with Smokey? Perhaps John kills Smokey? Maybe the only one that could kill him is the person whose body he possesses? Hence only taking the body of someone who is dead, mind you John is alive in the AR.
- I definitely think that Jack's wife in the AR is Juliette
- How did Desmond get out? I doubt it was Widmore's people, I'm willing to get MiB's ghost-child. He was doing that while Jacob's ghost-child was getting Hurley
- If Kate's name was crossed off for becoming a mother, why wasn't Kwon?
That's about all I have for now. I'm going to re-watch tomorrow and may come up with more

I think with the Jin and Jun names, they didn't know if it was him or her, because they just had the last name "kwon" on the roof.
Personally, I thought it was a brilliant moment when Jacob said, "It's just names with lines through it, the job is yours if you want it". Almost mocking everyone in the process, saying to the audience - see, not everything is or needs to be epic.
Miles will come back into play with the walkie-talkies, Ben knew Locke would say something to Whitmore and made sure Miles could hear. Why else did Ben ask for the radios?
In the Alternate Universe I believe everyone will end up at the concert. I seem to remember that Faraday and Eloise were planning a combined classical music and Driveshaft concert.
Eloise is hosting the concert
Faraday will be there
Charlie is playing the concert
Jack is attending as his son David is playing
David said his Mother is coming - Juliette?
Claire should be going as well - family event
Kate and Desmond are going
Miles and Charlotte are going
Hurley and Sayid are up to something, you know Desmond has them coming
Sawyer will be there to try to catch the escaped fugitives
Not sure how Locke, Ben, Rousseau, Alex, Sun and Jin are going to get there though. No doubt they will find a way.

A few theories on some of your points
- Wasn't Jack's son having some sort of concert soon that Jack said he would attend? they mention it during breakfast with Claire
- They never show Richard after smokey hits him so we don't really know his fate, Jacob made it so he could live forever so something tells me this isn't the last we see of him.
- Jacob said Kate's name was scratched off the list because she became a mohter, not a parent, Kwon was likely still on the list because although Sun had become a mother Jin obviously hadn't. Speaking of those two there is one thing that now that they are dead will likely not be resolved, does anyone remember in season 4 or 5 when Jin buys a stuffed animal or some other sort of gift(can't remember what it was) for Sun when she's in the hospital giving birth? he gets it to her but she never sees him and it never explains how he got there when he was supposed be on the island in god knows what time. My only theory is that this is a very early foreshadowing of the alternate reality. Maybe i just missed something. Anyone have any thoughts?

Funny thing I was thinking exactly of the same episode, an example how they can't possibly explain everything. Anyway, the episode name is Ji Yeon (season 4), Jin buys a panda in the flashback, but its not for Sun. Sun is shown in the same episode in a flash forward. She's pregnant, gives birth, then Hurley visits her and they all go see Jin's tombstone.

That episode was easily one of my most hated of the series. There was no point to the show other then to deceive people. It advanced zero storylines and just tugged on heartstrings.
I wonder if there is any significance to choosing Locke's character to play the smoke monster. Even though he is most certainly not Locke and the only similarity is the appearance, they all refer to him as Locke. Why not someone else?
For the poster above who thinks Jack will die and Hurley becomes the new Jacob, that would be a very weird twist. The producers have stated from the beginning that Jack was always meant to be the hero. Further to my question\point above, it has always been Jack VS Locke, even when the plot shifted to Jack VS Sawyer......it was still Jack VS Locke in many other aspects.
It makes me think the possibility of a final scene in which Jack and Locke are sitting on the beach and Locke says "do you have any idea how much I want to kill you?"......even more close
Sunday...not Tuesday, Sunday can't come fast enough.

It doesn't mean Jack still won't be the hero. To borrow a line from The Dark Knight "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
That said the vast majority of my theories have been wrong, but that's in part because the producers don't give you enough information to actually come up with a reasonable theory. Take Adam & Eve for example, we didn't even know about Jacob & MiB's mom until that episode.
Lost is all about the twist, I'd love to see Hurley become Jack's replacement with Jack going out in a heroic sacrifice

I'm guessing that the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 may be an effect and not a cause. We know the hatch was marked with the numbers, that the 'light energy' connects the island to everything living, and the hatch is likely the highest source of 'light energy' besides the hidden well itself. Mayhaps the hatch was disturbing the light energy, creating a distortion in it's connection to the rest of the world, with the numbers being the route of that connection.
I think the writers are going to leave some things unexplained, when really, they've given us the tools to figure things out on our own. Lost will be the gift that keeps giving. I look forward to watching the series again, knowing some of the secrets and figuring out the old ones will make it worth watching again.
I have a feeling that island Kate gets killed at some point in the last episode, but that Desmond has figured out a way (maybe with Faraday) to cross realities and they send AR Sayid and Kate (Charlie too maybe) to the island to help Jack win against Smokey.

I am wondering if the light and the ocean (water) keeps the island afloat so to speak. If the light goes out the island sinks and alternate reality kicks in. Sort of like the nuke sequence where things change dramatically. Or Desmond being able to exist in both realities decides he'll stay behind to protect the island because he doesn't care he gets Penny still in the alternate.
I wasn't a big fan how they handled several characters. Take Widmore, he goes to great lenghts to find the island, lots of stuff happens. Then he just shows up with his nerdy sidekick at the barracks, has a drink of water, hides in some secret room and just stands there like a village idiot till he gets shot. Weak.
Richard...damn I hope he's not done yet because that was even weaker ending for a great character.
What I hate is that they filled lots of episodes with cheese, the story wasn't moving along. And now it seems like the script girl realised "holy fata we've got to wrap this thing up quickly" and they just killed off a couple of characters they could have dealt with in a better way earlier. "Hmm who else did we forget? That Widmore guy! Okay have him walk in on the set out of nowhere and get him shot. Okay who else?" Weak.

Yeah, I have actually come to really dislike the show over the past couple of seasons but can't help but be curious to see how it ends. Honestly, it can't end soon enough in my opinion.
