I picked up this app today. Had a ton of fun driving round Red Deer with my kids picking up territories.
I could probably drum up a whole load of business for you around these parts. What with my company just purchasing a bunch of iphones and geocachers I know with them too. Could generate a lot of competition around here.
I'm going to wait a bit though. I kinda like having some territories to myself!
Good job guys. Lots of fun.

Well, we had some users who thought it ruined the game experience by giving users who were willing to spend an edge. We found other users enjoyed being able to spend $1 and nuke the crap out of their buddies. Now you can have it whatever way you like. No matter what world you are in you will get points in both, but if you buy resources they will not show up in the no purchases world.

My wife now has it on her iPod. She plans on carting the baby around town to various starbucks locations and camping out on their wifi.

I think it's more the battery drain from using the GPS and data all the time.
That was a good question though, do you guys have anything in place that would catch someone abusing the system by having multiple accounts and multiple phones all updating (sometimes at once)?

The battery drain can't really be prevented because of the nature of GPS on the iPhone.
We periodically check the database for "discrepancies" in a users ability to accumulate troops and territories. There are a few people running their iPod Touch from home and their iPhone while on the road. We haven't seen any instances of people running multiple iPhones and traveling around. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened yet though.
