Apologies for the bump, but a question just occurred to me. Why is it that on the little envelope icons to the left of threads, when there is an unread post in a thread the paper popping out of the envelope is sometimes yellow and sometimes white?
What's the difference?

I have a question, why was the former rep system removed? The Blue/Red Squares, I remember a poster saying that it was because too many people complained.. but I never saw an official word from an admin.. I am sure there was one I just never saw it myself.
And a follow up question, are there any plans in the works to implement some other type of rep system? Just curious. I for one like the board better without the rep system, and I believe I had a few positives and no negatives before it was removed.

Is there a way to tell if someone quoted you so you can respond to their comments?
EDIT: Gonna make this a two parter...what exactly is CDC paste? I understand the reference and did some googling and searched up this thread but I have no idea what it actually is :/

Generally people who got negative rep just complained about it and blamed flaws in the system or perceived bias from the rep givers, instead of actually listening to the feedback. So the system wasn't having any of the intended impacts while at the same time creating a ton of extra work.

Since CP owns the server I'm guessing somewhere in the middle of your two estimates but even at the top end I'm sure he makes enough in adsense to pay for it. Just make sure you click on the ads every so often and you'll help him out.
