Second Period Notes
- Calgary had the early play, not really pressing, but controlling the play
- Brandon took it to Calgary for a bit there, but couldn't sustain
- Little bit more physical stuff, but still not overly physical
- Shots 21-6 Calgary

2-1 as a result of a Seabrook turnover. Fehr scores to make it 6-3.

They have played good enough to sweep this series but they are going to have get back to the tight checking good defence in order to win the league championship.

6-4 with 4:34 to go. PPG for the Wheaties, who have been very good on pp in the series.

Brandon on the PP. Score is now 6-4. Less than 5 minutes to play in the game. Brandon hasn't had a lot of shots, but they are making them count!

And the Hitmen have tied the league record with 12 straight playoff wins! They just went through the Eastern Conference without losing a game, one game...unbelievable!

Third Period Notes:
- Brandon much more physical
- Calgary played a defensive game for much of the period
- Brandon started pushing, but just not enough time
- Final shots 35-8

I have tickets to game 5...I am really disappointed as I can't make the first two games of the WHL final.

Can only make a game if they go to 5. But on the bright side, the Hitmen are the 2009 WHL Eastern Conference Champions.

And as Resolute mentioned earlier, the Hitmen have now won 71 games.

6-4 for Calgary seemed to be the score of the night.

This is one hell of a team. 12-0 is incredible.

In the OHL, Windsor beat London tonight to take the series in 5 games...every one went to OT.

35-16, actually. It seems whl.ca was having nothing but problems iwth the stats. When I checked on my phone, they had it as 6-0 Hitmen after 40 with the shots being 27-6. I was disappointed to find out it was actually 6-2 when I browsed this thread to see what the reaction was. Followed this thread rather than whl.ca after that, so thanks for the updates guys!

12-0. I'd have to go through the year by year histories, but I think only the 89 Broncos have done that before. Of course, we have to go one more round now than they did.

Gotta give Brandon credit. They worked us hard. I know the Hitmen wanted nothing to do with an old-fashioned shootout, but there probably isnt a team in the league that can match Calgary's offensive weapons.

But still, 9.5 goals per game this series? Bloody insane!

Get the Wheat Kings a better goalie, and I think they have an excellent shot of bringing it all home next year.

After calling for an end to the sweeps in round 3, I'm not sure what to call for the WHL final. Kelowna/Vancouver should take us to at least 5 games, but I won't predict anything. This team is insanely focused on winning - another sweep could happen.

Really looking forward to the finals. Just hope Kelowna and Vancouver go the 7 game limit.
