Yeah, he still has these dips where his form just goes missing for a few games. It was a real surprise today in set 3 because he looked in control, but Lehecka really played some fine tennis to take the match.

Semi-finals now set in Doha:
FAA vs. Bweh
Lehecka vs. Draper
Rublev has a 5-1 lead in the h2h, but the matches for the most part have been very close. Felix has a good chance to make his 3rd final of 2025.

Felix and Bweh are going to a third and deciding set in a high quality match. Bweh took the first set 7-5 and Felix responded by taking set 2 6-4. One break of serve made the difference in each of the first two sets. Both guys playing some fine tennis today.

Dang it, Felix saved three match points, but sprayed a backhand wide on the 4th match point and Rublev takes he match 7-5 6-4 7-6(5). Really good match from Felix today, just a difference of a few points.

52 winners (23 aces) to 39 unforced errors for FAA, that's he way he needs to play. just a tough loss against a very good opponent.

Meanwhile on the WTA tour, 17 year old Mirra Andreeva has beaten Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina on consecutive days and is into the Dubai final.

The difference can down to a few sloppy balls like the backhand on match point which should have been a routine short ball put away for a pro. It’s a shame as a final bs Draper would have been a chance for him to get revenge.

Seems like the WTA is wide open as none of the ladies at the top seem to be able to separate and seize opportunities. Maybe Andreeva can be the one in the coming years.

This could be the moment that Zverev realized it wasn't his day...

Bweh takes the title in Doha as he bread sticks Jack Draper in set 3 after the first two sets being very competitive. I think the questions regarding Draper's conditioning will continue to be asked as he seemed to just fade away in set 3. Congrats to Bweh though, he played some excellent tennis this week.

Gabriel Diallo has qualified for the Mexican Open and will join Shapo in the main draw in Acapulco. Felix is playing the tourney in Dubai this week.

Gabriel lost to Tommy Paul night 6-2 6-2 (really tough draw after winning two qualifying matches). Felix just now played a fine match defeating last year's Dubai finalist Bublik 7-6 6-7 6-3

Shapp is about to take the court in Acapulco - I think a TSN+ stream has the match or alternatively a subscription to TennisTV will work as well.

Shapo advances 7-5 6-2 over Basavareddy in Acapulco, but it certainly wasn't a great outing for Denis. He should have lost the opening set (saved a set point) and had a terrible serving day. That said, a win is a win and the conditions were sweltering tonight (30 degrees Celsius on court and high humidity).
