Pretty cheeks game so far. I would think either of these teams should be able to beat Penn State, but tough to see them staying within 3TDs of Ohio State.

Surprised at how close this is, the Domers defense is pretty good.

I appreciate ESPN gaslighting everyone that the game is "jam packed" when it's obvious how many empty seats there are.

Great game so far. Not much happening but close and hard fought, even with the late Irish TD. The Irish D came to play today.
ND needs to keep this up. Georgia doesn’t have the QB but they have some game breakers. Need to avoid giving up big plays.

Outside of your bias to the SEC, why are you surprised it's close? Georgia hasn't looked impressive most of the year, and Notre Dame has lots of NFL talent on its roster. There's a reason Notre Dame closed as favorites in this game.

Not quite curtains, but looking grim for Georgia now.

Who has Georgia beat? Two wins over a Texas team who should have gone one and done in the playoff? Meh. Not very good Tennessee and Clemson teams? Meh.

lol nice dodge there Senator.
ND looks to be better than I thought, fully admit that. Doesn’t mean I have an SEC bias, it’s just top to bottom the strongest conference by a healthy margin.

Notre Dame did something the Nazis couldn't do, they beat the US Army. Easily the best win of the season. But in all seriousness, you're talking to the guy who has been anti-playoff expansion and thought Notre Dame should be DQ'd for that loss to Northern Illinois. But we needed 12 teams to make the playoff, by rule, so someone had to make it. Were there really 12 teams with better resumes? Nope. And that's kind of the point too, the sport has become very mediocre, very fast. Christ two weeks ago Ryan Day's job was in jeopardy, now Ohio State is the overwhelming favourite to win it all. Sounds like mediocrity to me.

I also have to laugh that the "strongest conference by a healthy margin" lost two bowl games, including a playoff game, to teams who did not even produce 100 yards of passing. 160 yards of combined passing was enough to beat two SEC behemoths, including in a playoff game. Maybe Nebraska just needs to go back to some triple option to recapture the glory years.

Bowl records mean nothing in this age of college football, the good teams end up playing their JV squads. Look at players in the NFL, previous national champions, it’s the SEC by a mile.
I’m not going to get caught up in your talk track of trashing college football. There are some great teams left and they are fully deserving. It’s been an exciting season and personally I love the excitement that the playoffs have brought. But I don’t want to squash your joy, so have at it.

Indeed, if I look at the past and not the present, the SEC is so far and away the king. In the present, well....yeah, things change. Arguing the SEC is clearly the best conference right now doesn't really jive with reality. But I don't want to squash the joy of every SEC team being 15-0 in the hypothetical world, so have at it.
