There's just way too much Oilers content in this thread. It's pretty gross.

Well it's a finals involving the oilers, so....

The payoff of Florida winning (hopefully in Edmonton) will make it all worth stomaching.

Will we see the least viewed SCP in history? I mean I only care that the cats beat the oilers .

Will I invest time to watch? As much as I hate the oilers any attention is too much attention.

The only thing that makes me want to watch is Perry and Kane eating thir words after telling us how bad we were this year .

Dude....maybe take a step back from where you were not so long ago and consider a better position to speak from instead of shooting off your mouth.

Leafs/Bruins game 7 will be by far the most watch game of these playoffs

Yep, I'm a hockey fan and hate the Oilers and I watched maybe 20 mins of the last round

My level of care is so low. I thought the oilers making the finals would bother me but it has rarely registered. Buddies asking to watch the games. Sorry, it's summer I got #### to do.

Of course, I do not want the oilers to win and will be cheering for them to be absolutely embarrassed but in the grand scheme of things I don't care.

I have avoided all media on the SCF so far.

I imagine Chucky v EDM when he was a Flame has been a storyline for various media outlets this week?

Bennett as well?

Some media seem to think Tkachuk vs. Kane still has legs.

Just saw a clip with Paul Maurice - funny when asked about "Canada's team". Ya not in Calgary he said.

Lol, is Kane the new “keeper of the code”?

You just know the media is gonna be unbearable during this series. The Oiler/McDavid circle jerk will be off the charts.

What a great guy, he needs to join the club with the other coaches and get his ring.

Maybe for Kane.

The money offering gesture probably still hurts his feelings.

Or Vancouver (thanks Gazdic!), or Winnipeg, or eastern Canada.

This week off has really killed any momentum that the NHL may have had going. I understand the reason as to why but it still feels like a long time to wait.

There will be a lot of interest in Canada but these are two relatively small market teams (Miami is large but hockey is small there) who don't have large fan bases outside of their home markets. McDavid being advertised on the largest stage possible may be good in order to drive media coverage though.

My cousin who is a Jets fan has banned cheering for the Oilers in his household. He can't stomach them and hasn't been able to for years.

I honestly can't think of one person I know who isn't an Oilers fan who is cheering for them.

I used to mock Maurice mercilessly when he was in WPG, now I've grown to like him. It's kinda like how he used to hate Tkachuk, but now loves the guy.

It's weird how bias and rivalries influence our views, lol.

Here's an interview from last year's playoffs (start at around 4:53 in):
