I mean it is only 2 games into the season but I thought the Elks would have a much better offense with the receivers they added but they actually look worse than last year.

Yeah, Cornelius was showing signs of turning into a pretty good QB last season and appearing to be a dual threat with his legs, but he looks like a deer elk in the headlights to start 2023.

I think Chris Jones has run his course in the CFL. It seems like him and McAdoo are tied at the hip which is one issue. I get they went all in on Cornelius but it's okay to admit you made a mistake as if they keep trotting him out like this it's going to get people fired. One thing not lost on me last night was the TV camera panning on Wally Buono in the Lions owner box. Remember the Elks hired him as a consultant to point them in the direction of hiring Jones. That was some fantastic double agent work there by Wally.

I saw a tweet that the last time Edmonton was shutout was a game against the Roughriders in Regina way back in 1976. Saskatchewan trounced the then Eskimos 40-0

16 passing touchdowns through 8 games so far and 17 interceptions. 5 of the TD passes are from Collaros.
CFL seems to be having a QB crisis.

But yeah, to me the passing games have been bad especially in the Red zone.
You look at the level of QB's in the league this year and its not awe inspiring and I don't see any real young studs coming into play.

Went to look at the stats page lol and its even worse it seems like it really is just Collaros and Vernon Adams Jr and the drop off is significant after that.
Completion %'s in the 50's for a lot of the guys as well.
