Ideally landing spot to maximize his considerable ceiling.

Also the Spurs are the GOATs of tanking, already got two HOFers with their other two #1 picks, they just know when it's time to suck.

Spurs were one of the teams I was okay with him going to. I was most worried about him going to Indiana or Orlando, who are set up with all the young pieces around him to become a really dominant team. Probably enough to entice Pop to stick around for a few more years, and the league is better for having Pop in it.

Just because he's with the Spurs gives him every chance to succeed. Now I'm buying into the hype. Any other team, probably not.

Portland at 3 is potentially good for the Raptors... they're rumoured to likely look to trade it if they can't get Wemby. If they're serious about making a pitch for Siakam, Simons and the #3 pick is a solid starting point. I'd want Sharpe too and Portland will try not to include him, but there's at least a framework that could be negotiated on.

The people who didn't vote for Jokic because Embid cried what a joke.
I guy that looks like that shouldn't by able to do what he does. Unbelievable

Regular Season award. Jokic punted the end of the season to rest for the playoffs. He’s been amazing the last 3 years.
Wemby going to a competent organization is good for the league. Should maximize his talent and far better than Charlotte or Houston.

perfect landing spot for Wembanyama. I wouldn't have put it past teams like Charlotte to ruin him, but I have no doubt he'll flourish under Pop. Going from 1 to 5 is brutal for Detroit obviously, holy cow.
also, the 12 year old in me hopes Orlando drafts Gradey Dick in the first round. You know you want a Suggs/Dick backcourt too ...

Anyone watching the game? Celtics looked like they were pulling away but the gear are shooting great and are playing a great 3rd

How bad has LeBron been in this series in the 4th and overall in the playoffs.
He is having a anti clutch playoffs so far.
Great to see Jokic and the Nuggests hammer them.

Jimmy Buckets was rocking a Tkachuk jersey yesterday at practice. Nothing like pissing off Boston fans.
Time for me to get a Butler jersey.

Think he's being overplayed at this point.
He's 38 and has been averaging 38 minutes in the playoffs, and about 42 minutes over the last 5 games.
Going to start to lose your legs in the 4th quarter.
Even then he was +5 last night, and it was when him and Reaves were on the bench that they really got walked over. Anthony Davis had one of his off nights where he went 4-15 and was -10.

Playoff Jimmy is insane. I don't own any basketball jerseys but if I was going to get one, I'd get me a Jimmy Buckets jersey.
