Good trade for the Flames, Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar.

I’m glad this part is done now, and getting good players back. Flames are showing they’ve moved on from Gaudreau and Tkachuk and will be even better. Now we have Huberdeau and Lindholm.

The ask was a top six forward, prospect and a first round pick. Florida somehow gives up a top 5 scorer, a top 4 defenseman, a prospect who actually did pretty well in the AHL last year and a 1st round pick. How can you not like that

I get where he is coming from. Kyrou or Bratt + Holtz would be more rebuild but I can't believe Huberdeau is the main piece coming back. Hamilton trade 2.0 hopefully!

Huberdeau has the ability to make middling players turn into stars. Taking a look at some guys that could be some good reclamation projects in the free agent pool the guy that jumps out at me is Sonny Milano. Good wheels, good hands, reminds me a little of Duclair, who Huberdeau turned into a pretty good scorer. A good depth piece that could pay off?
