While I hate to burst any bubbles, I can be neither an ####### nor a bully, as I had two dogs that (before they died) were both very well behaved and loved me very much. Some here might say that makes me just like Hitler, others might not be so bold, but I’m just taking my cues from the dog psychology leaders in this thread, I’m not trying to stand out.

It’s always the easy, low brow jokes that people absolutely lose it over and take ultra personally. Last time I delivered a similarly lazy punchline the person called me mentally ill.
Guess I’m just memorable.

That's an interesting question...can dogs be born bad?. I understand that some dogs are born with an over aggressive nature that can be directed at owners and other dogs. Some breeds like pit bulls and rottweilers, and even smaller dogs fall into that category. It is thought that on a relatively rare occasion where a dog is born vicious, that there may be a mental problem.
I recall a brother-in-law that had to have his terrier put down for chronically biting people. Also growing up, one of my friends had a dog that was part English bulldog. It loved, and was affectionate, to all the kids on our street, and ended up killing three small dogs that ventured into our neighborhood.

Sure, your brother in law wasn’t equipped to deal with his dog, he probably should have re homed the dog, but whatever. Three small dogs ventured into your neighborhood? So, it jumped the gate and went full on gangster?

What don’t you get? Sliver put you on the A team. Dogs don’t have the capacity to love like humans do. They don’t have human feelings. Your dogs didn’t love you because they love your taste in music, or your fashion sense like your pals do. They are completely different.

But when it is -20, and your hands are frozen, and you get to roll that warm poop bag through your fingers…

So wait can we clarify who's playing the role of Hitler here and who's Charles Manson? Or is Sliver both of them because he hates dogs? I'm a little confused at this point.

But where do Manson and Hitler fit in regards to the A team/B team? If you are slow and dogs like you, are you a Manson or a Hitler. Gifted? It’s still complicated.

I don’t see how this is complicated.

The dog didn’t like Hitler. Hitler provided the dog with food and comfort.

Interesting that you know so much about it. Let me guess, originally from Germany, spent some time living it up in South America during the late 40s and 50s?

And of course it's ridiculous to say there's no such thing as a bad dog. Nature and nurture make us who we are and the same goes for dogs, obviously.

Great. Now I'll be up all night wondering if I'm CP's A-Team intellectual or B-Team intellectual.
... or worse.

Actually, evidence shows that when he was just being plain old Adolf, he was very pleasant to be around. This narrative is corroborated by Gertraud Junge one of his personal secretaries who lived a long life and expressed great guilt. So it's very likely he treated Blondi well and that Blondi genuinely loved him back. Adolf the Fuehrer however, not quite as pleasant.
He apparently was very upset when he euthanized her so the Soviets couldn't claim her as a trophy.

So are dogs good judges of character or not? Maybe the dog could love the fetch-playing Hitler while simultaneously disapprove of the genocidal-maniac Hitler.
They truly are amazing creatures, aren't they? One minute they're eating a big turd and the next they're licking your face. Never know what you're going to get!

So how is this different from the usual Saturday night in the Sliver household?

No Joke, take the first 2-3 days off work. You're going to want to follow that puppy around every second for the first week. The destructive power of a puppy is nearly immeasurable.

Truth.
Also...puppies, much like babies, are idiots.
They can get stuck in stuff and hurt themselves in addition to ruining all your stuff.
