Don't Ryu and Kikuchi need an extra day of rest for them to be their most effective? Seems like a great opportunity for Pearson to get some starts in.

As much as you want to load up early preseason, the trade deadline is where the team can make adjustments and required additions (and subtractions) if all doesn't turn out as it should on paper over the first 3 months. Those also require resources available.
That said, with the once again expanded playoffs, there will be more teams at the deadline thinking they have a shot, so that much more competition for available players, and less players available.

Good luck, Jamie. Get well soon.
He called Canada’s first Olympic gold medal on home soil - Alexandre Bilodeau in the moguls.

Oh god that's horrible. I know I don't KNOW Jamie Campbell personally but as a massive Jays fan he is a central part of my Jays fan ecosystem. I hope he recovers fully.

I know the links have been posted earlier in this thread. But the secret base series on Dave Stieb is amazing. As someone who was too young to see/remember Stieb pitch, but knew of his legacy, I am loving every minute of them. And so rich in Jays history too. Such a great way to satiate my Jays hunger until first pitch.
Cannot ####ing wait until opening day.
Also, all the best to Jamie Campbell. The dude bleeds blue in ways most of us can't even imagine. And seems like such a kind, genuine dude too.

Hmmm, where does that leave Max Muncy then? Turner has 3rd sown up.

6 years, 162 for Freeman in L.A. Yowzers. Good for him.

Yep. Momentarily forgot universal DH is now a rule.
Max is the superior defender, so I guess him and Freddie will swap DH/1B. That is a stacked team. Gavin Lux moves into 2B, Trea Turner takes over SS, Justin Turner at 3B, Betts, Bellinger, Pollock in the outfield. Chris Taylor on the bench with Austin Barnes and Beaty?
Wow.

Glad Freddie is getting paid. Probably for the best that we aren't the ones paying him.

Yeah, Manoah is what would make that a no from me... it's one thing to give up prospects (even a unicorn like prospect like Moreno... an athletic, well-rounded hitter who can stick at catcher) but giving up Manoah is subtracting from the roster.
I hope Chapman shaves his mustache.

2B/DH. Muncy has a UCL issues his non throwing hand though. They need his bat in the lineup over Lux.

Corey Dickerson signed a one year 5 mil deal with the Cards. Good for him.
