Amy going from TOC winner to eliminated in the quarter finals is a shocker
James is just unreal. Like it's one thing to beat "ordinary" Jeopardy schlubs by a wide margin, but when you're so far ahead that you can just write jokes for final Jeopardy against the Masters, it's a whole other level.

I liked James’ story yesterday about Crosby recognizing him. Also called Sid the greatest player of this generation, smart man.

I liked that too. While he's a "self proclaimed game show villian" I get the sense that he actually is a decent guy.

Also turning to regular play Ben is running away with each and every game.

I was sad to see my former classmate from Labrador lose to him last Thursday.

What's the process to get on? I heard it takes years of testing and waiting, to get on and get killed by Ben!

I'm assuming he took the anytime test. I haven't seen him since graduation. We weren't super close, but was happy to see him on there and hype up the episode on Facebook.

Secondly,

Tonight's final was bull****. As much as I hate superchamps and long streaks, I think they should have given it to Ben.

James just responded to a clue about Wendy’s by saying “where’s the beef?” But he didn’t say “what is” first. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a contestant respond like that. But the response is already a question so it works.

Yeah, that’s super lame. Sit through half an hour of Mayim and that’s how it wraps up.

Mattea hitting all of the feels tonight

Matt has been very hot-and-cold this tournament, but he's also the only one who has beaten James. I hope they both bring their best games against James tomorrow

Boy those are not the finalists I would have predicted going in. I think I would have ranked them
1. James
2. Amy
3. Andrew
4. Mattea
5. Matt (based on his play in the last tourney)
6. Sam

You don't need to say the full category name, especially if there's less than a minute left

Mayim doesn't even explain why 'Benedict' is incorrect, just goes straight to "what was your wager". Sigh

Especially after accepting several pronunciations to clues throughout the game. Her pausing to check if answers are correct on tough to pronounce questions also drives me crazy. Alex would study the board and answers. Myriam seems to wing in.

I can see Mayim hosting the masters and the last clue is on the board. The contestant says “bring it!”, and Mayim replies with “I’m sorry, that’s not the correct category, what do you mean?” She’s just so pedantic and painful.

Mattea has an amazing natural talent for this. Was in a position to beat James at the end of Double Jeopardy in the semi-final game and the end of the second final game. Just couldn't close it out. Of all the people in this tournament I didn't think they would be the one to push him to his limits the most. Was also the only one who could keep up with James on the buzzer. How good are they going to be in 5 years?

The difficulty of the questions was crazy

Yeah that was impressive. They are 23?
There was some complaining on social media that they didn’t deserve to be included in this at all. Boy they proved them wrong

It's interesting the format of the Masters means James, Matt, and Mattea will all be back next year. They could all be doing this for years to come.

Sorry to bring this up again, but Mayim is stil taking too long to rule correctly for many responses. It's annoying, and confuses the contestants
