If that happened the Rangers would look stupid which is awesome because the Rangers are trash...but then the Yankees would look smart. Best to have it blow up in the faces of the Yankees, but then the Rangers would look smart...don’t know how to process my sports hate.
Maybe hope he hits like .225? Still pretty terrible for the Yankees, but then maybe Texas feels bad that they moved on?

On the whole I agree, but do you not think a wild card berth is in the picture? I think it's pretty reasonable if the pitching holds up...which I know is a big if.
Oh Wild Card is definitely possible. Even probable. Baseball is a longevity sport though. There are a few guys who have had injury histories, which those tend to act up every now and then, and there are young guys who sometimes don’t adjust to scouts adjusting to their weaknesses. So there are a lot of things that can falter over time. I love this start but I’m just tempering my expectations because when they’re high it tends to be a disappointment with the sport.
Funniest part is they have to include that picture because his most memorable moment is punching a guy a year later because he was butthurt after they lost a playoffs series to the Jays.

Yeah, the best part is the national tv audience to witness that. A generation of people down south will grow up to be Jays fans because of it. Greatest baseball game I've ever witnessed, with all the events leading up to that.
