The starting point for who to keep and who to deal this off-season should be “can this player skate”? If the answer is no or maybe, then you push to package them off to a team who’s old school and is all about the grind game. Surely there’s an aspect of that but I you can’t keep up in today’s game you’re a liability. Lesson learned in getting guys in free agency who are only getting slower at this point in their career.

I hope Gio and the leadership team go into the locker room and tell the guys to calm the hell down, and keep at it. Stop the tentativeness, keep the solid pinches and stand up, and work that transition.

Gaudreau is a hair away from breaking out, the defense are mostly playing well, and Bennett is huge for that line

It's concerning it seems way too easy for a coach to gameplan against us to easily get his team 15+ shots a period. What changed from the regular season?? Is coaching getting exposed now that teams have so much more time in the playoffs to plan for their opponent?

He looks lost but not disinterested. I dont know why or how they forgot to dominate like the did for most of the year but it's so frustrating knowing full well they can walk away with this series if they got their act together.

Part of me thinks that Monny and Lindholm get sick of Johnny's puck hoggery. And let's be honest, Johnny 3 well within his rights to try and carry the mail but he puts himself in some awful positions where his linemates cannot figure out where to be to help him out.
