Man. Imagine if Loob didn't go back to Sweden after the cup? With Makarov joining the team the next year we would have at least 2 more cups.

Tkachuk is elite. If the Flames had another finisher he'd be 100 point player.
Give a guy who can score 20 on his own, he'll score 30 with Tkachuk.

So tragic that Bennett isn't that 30 goal winger. Would make the Flames so so dangerous. But alas... Doesn't seem like it was meant to be.

Watching Brodie carry the puck in and keeping control of it during 5v5 really drives home the idea that he should be on PP2 instead of Ryan. And then watching Ryan carry the puck in on PP2 only to have the play die immediately just reinforces the idea.
Brodie's speed and edge work are probably second best on the team and give him a real advantage for carrying and keeping the puck. The number of times he spins in tight spots to avoid a check and come away with the puck... its amazing. And its amazing we are not utilizing him more.

That Flames team should have been a dynasty with how stacked they were back then. Thinking about all those first round exits in the early 90s still makes me sad over what could have been.
