It was a very good period for the Flames. I'm liking what I see so far aside from some a few weird breakdowns which is to be expected.
The Ryan-Czarnik line has been outstanding. Frolik should have a goal.
Halak can eff off.

In preseason, young guys that are trying to impress and make the team almost always outplay vets that just don't have the same passion and urgency.

Exactly. Hathaway should be the last option for those other two when they have the puck, not the first option. Neither of them look like they are taking the lead with the puck.

Yes but the style of play is very different. They look fast, they're moving the puck forward, and they are playing a higher tempo game.
If they keep doing those things, the wins will come.
