I tend to think that looking back on it, George should have probably had Fett carve up someone like Chewie and knocked out Solo and had a one against one battle against Luke, a battle by the way of science vs magic. The wizard versus the gunslinger.
I think the reason Fett seemed so bad-ass and became such a legend (considering that he was really a minor character in the movie) is precisely that he didn't do anything. I agree that his death was dumb and shouldn't have happened, but I think that his character really would have been diminished by any actual action seen, unless it was a really one-sided win for him.

The temptation would be for the good guys to have to win the fight or at least escape, in which case he becomes yet another supposedly tough character who turns out to not really be such a big deal.

The only real opportunity I see to have done more with Fett in a good way in the original trilogy would have been for him to capture Han himself in a very one-sided fight, rather than have Vader do it and hand him over. That would have taken away from the more important demonstration of the hopelessness of fighting Vader in that scene, though.

Maybe instead of having Fett there for the sail barge fight, you have him off collecting another bounty. Then he returns with another prisoner just before they leave, but Jabba is already dead and he decides to let them go because there's nobody to pay the bounty.

I partially agree, with Jango, they did a good job of making him formidable in an economic manner.

He fought a Jedi like Obi-Wan to a standstill.

Even in the arena he showed no fear in jumping into the fight, he got run over by basically a bull and stood up and tried to take on a Jedi Master.

So he looked pretty good and his death was meaningful.

They didn't do anything to really establish Fett as anything more then a poser with some neat armor. They tried to by having him talk back to Vader as if they were equals without getting his helmet rammed up his butt.

I had this inner monologue after the bounty hunters met on the bridge of the Star Destroyer. After the meeting.

Dengar - "Going after Solo is like a death sentence, he always shoots first. I'm out"
Bossk - "SSSolo and Sssskywalker, I'm not sssstupid you know"

IG88 - "I have an important update in my operating system to do, do I want to reboot now? Yes"

Shuts down

Zukass - "There's only one man dumb enough to go after Solo and the wookie and the guy who wasted the death star and there he goes"

Boba Fett flying away - "I'm the best"

I did in 1994, and thought it was awesome, also there was a Captain America movie in 1990 that has to be seen to be believed.

I didn't know this was happening. I worked on the film years ago.

Yes they did and he was the head of a mafia crime family.

The only thing that they kept close to Captain America was that he was frozen for 50 years, but the effects they used when he was tied to a rocket were hilarious.

So this came out 1 year after Batman 89. DC was probably like Marvel will never figure it out, we will never have to worry about them!

Still don't. DC4LYFE!1!!

Apparently the run time on Avengers 4 is 3 hours right now, with some editing to do still. I am ok with this. I am very ok with this.. keep it at 3 Marvel, there is lots of story still to tell.

Nevar!

But yeah, when you consider that its wrapping up 10 years worth of work, now isnt the time to worry about your audience's attention span.

Speaking about run time, Aquaman will be 2hrs and 20 minutes and will include a after credit scene. I'm hoping the after credit scene will be Luthor recruiting Black Manta for the LOD.

Oh Lord.....first of all, how can Aquaman possibly have over 2 hours worth of things to do and secondly; Legion of Doom?

If they cant even get Justice League right they should leave everything else well enough alone.

And hopefully the after credits scene is Black Manta slaughtering Luthor so they can re-cast him with someone who doesnt suck.

Pfffft. Runtimes…. Even if Aquaman sucks, its going to be amazing

BvS was dreadful, Suicide Squad was….okay, lets just not talk about Suicide Squad, and I can’t even remember Justice League (and i dont know if we can blame a head injury on that one or not), but I just have this feeling that Aquaman will be spectacular.

I mean, Dolph Lundgren is in it! Has Lundgren ever even made a bad movie? If you don’t count The Punisher, Kindergarten Cop 2, He-man, Johnny Mnemonic, Universal Soldier 2, In the Name of the King: Two Worlds, Sharknado 5, or Red Scorpion, the answer is probably still no.

Fish people? Check

Bold, gorgeous production design that isnt dark and depressing as #### like every other DC movie sans WW? check

dumb surfer dude played by mediocre actor who must decide to embrace his heritage and destiny to save his people, our people, the ocean, and probably the planet? Check

Throwing Marvel’s book right out the window and skipping the whole building their franchises from the ground-up and instead debu--oh wait…

Underwater armies mounted on sharks , giant sea horses, and crocodiles? MUTHA####### CHECK!

Of the 37 movies coming out this christmas, it’s one of, like, 23 i will definitely get tickets to see

I can't wait for Aquaman to come out, only so we people can stop saying how this will be the movie to help lift DC. I really can't wait for everything that makes fun of it when it comes out.

If it ain't broke, it don't need fixing. I actually used to think Aquaman was lame, but then I read Geoff Johns run on JL and he turned me around. Started reading Aquaman's solo title and it's one of my favorites now. It's Lord of the Rings but underwater . I'm pretty confident in the project and I think it will surprise a lot of nay sayers here. James Waan is one of the best directors in Hollywood right now, I trust him.

I'd be curious to know which of that list makes him one of the best directors right now.
