That was exactly the problem. Wideman not being a great defender doesn't help Elliott's decision making but it's no excuse.

I get the goalie problem, but Chaisson hasn't been on the first line for a while now...

Goaltending is pretty much the one position the Flames can address during the season without complicating their position in regards to the expansion draft.
Do it. Fix the damn goaltending.

Lots of time to get it back but I worry given this team's track record when trying to pull even.
One of these goalies needs to take care of their routine saves each game. the odd stinker is allowed, but it's too frequent with these guys.
