Another season in the AHL should benefit Kylington's defensive game enough that, after we've rid ourselves of Wideman+Smid+Engellend, he can be a fixture on that 3rd pairing to start the 17/18 season.

Kylington is going to be a star. He was in the right
position on two of McDonald's goals, and the 3-on-3 goal is typical 3v3 chaos.

He's 19. Sprinkle in some maturity and patience and we've got a special player.

It's still baffling he slid so far down in the draft. Really thought someone would have taken a chance on him in the 30s or 40s. Lots of teams will regret that.

lol too easy. Yes, nice goal. Liked the hit in the gif above too. Drew some penalties himself. Speared a guy in the scrum behind the ref. That a good enough summary for you?

I'm sure Tkachuk will get a talking to about toning it down and picking his spots, but I think we're all going to have to get used to have a dickhead on the team. One that everyone hates to play against. We need a good troll.

Sometimes he's going to cross the line, it's inevitable. We'll have to accept the bad with the good and just be glad he's on our team and not the others.

As long as you're focusing on the important things when you're looking at the box scores of games you didn't see most of. Yep, all good.

Relax.
How many chances does he need to get in a groove? McDonald is going down the bust track. Ya ya.....too early.....goalies take longer to develop. He is not improving. Glad we have other keepers in the system.

Most of it, yes. Why? If you're wondering if jets guy is misrepresenting my opinion and putting words into my mouth to fit his narrative, the answer is yes.

Yea I totally fabricated how before admitting you missed most of the game your first and key focus was pointing out Tkachuk's penalty, which was in line with and attempting to justify your over-reaction from yesterday.

I look forward to your keen focus and dwelling on his PIMs moving forward. Should be fun.

If he keeps playing the way he is he is going to be a star in the echl.

If he doesn't tone down his risks there is zero chance he makes the NHL. He had about 5 turnovers that led to a chance and several others that were very risky and if failed would have been a breakaway the other way.

Far from being a star, he has a lot of work to do.

He's 19. Nothing in his game is irreparable. He's got all the tools to be a star, and trying to do too much is probably the easiest thing you could possibly fix in a hockey player.

"Over reaction"? that's gold

Criticising a player who crossing the line with dirty antics is justified

He's had a few give-aways but also has been the first one back.

The comparisons to a younger Brodie are apt.

He has areas to work on but bringing up the ECHL is ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised to see him stick around till late in camp. He could use the year in the AHL but he'll get a look in the show at some point this year I would guess.

Dwelling on it to the point where it's the first and only thing you're focusing on with regard to his game is not. Something it seems you're starting to do as well.

if only there were guys with experience and wisdom in hockey - let's call them... coaches - who could help him learn how to be a good NHLer.

By a few I hope you meant at least a a half dozen. Saying Kylington will be a star is so far fetched. He doesn't look like he has the smarts to be a star since he has been playing like this for years and doesn't seem to be learning.

The echl is where players like him go. He can't play like that in the AHL and will be benched if he does.

The comparisons to Brodie are absurd. Brodie didn't pinch even 1/10th as much as him or make high risk plays as often as him. Brodie once in a while was prone to brain farts not dangling the blue line with nobody back.
