Oh, Cleveland.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon after he failed to respond to several months worth of subpoenas in a paternity case.

Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Judge Alison Floyd authorized the arrest warrant Aug. 31.

Gordon is prohibited from speaking to the media because of his four-game substance abuse suspension. cleveland.com is attempting to reach his agent to talk about the case.

Why is it such a challenge for NFL players (and to be fair NBA players too) to just, I don't know, buy rubbers? Or get a vasectomy?

Sometimes internet comment sections can actually produce greatness. Like this on Josh Gordon

Thanks internet. You can still deliver on occasion.

I would guess that these athletes are more targeted by people looking to hook themselves up to some child support more than other sports.

Most sports have gutter level rumors about players and paternity suits, but I guess TMZ isn't as interested in a hockey player with 5 kids with 4 women in 3 provinces as the NFL guy who has 9 with 7 in 5...

Leaving tomorrow morning for Tampa to take in a weekend of sports. Redsox-Rays Friday night, USF-FSU Saturday morning, Redsox-Rays again Saturday night, and Rams-Bucs Sunday. Really hope the Bucs put up a better showing than last week in Arizona.

I'm hearing Garoppolo could play Thursday night. McCown will be out longer.

Not that it would have likely made much of a difference, but Cutler had a broken thumb after week 1... not sure wwhy you would play with it but he is likely out 3-4 weeks.

Alongside that, the Bears lost 11 starters to injury on Monday night.. This could very well be a last place team

Just saw on TV that the Bears have started a season 0-2 for the 20th time.

The previous 19 times, they missed the playoffs.

I really like the Pats chances tonight, even with Brissett.

I think Garoppolo can even go in if NE gets behind.

Trivia:

Assuming Jacoby Brissett starts tonight, which is looking like a safe bet, the Patriots will become the 31st NFL team to have started a black QB.

Who is the last team left?

gb?

Nevermind - apparently GB had a black QB start one game a couple years ago although the QB only played a single drive before getting hurt.
