According to an article in Vanity Fair, the shooting of the first few episodes could have been years apart. They also shut down production to completely re-write the story.

This show is bound to have some major inconsistencies.

Are you referring to an unaired pilot or something? The photo that Abernathy finds is the same photo that Logan shows to William this week.

There is a screenshot of someone (Abernathy IIRC) digging the photo out of the ground.
It is clearly a different photo. But it only lasts for a few frames.
Like I said in my post, it is almost certainly a continuity error, but is interesting nonetheless.

They sure look the same to me, you can just see the colours better in one (lol did they intentionally wash it out to make it look aged?)
Link contains episode 9 spoilers of course:

By the way, this may be a continuity glitch or another clue for alert viewers, but there’s something else odd about the photo. When Peter Abernathy dug up the photo on the ranch, the scene showed him digging up a different photo, one with the Golden Gate bridge in it. He wasn’t digging up the photo of the sister, but that was the photo he showed to Dolores. Here’s a Reddit thread discussing the original photo. And here’s a photo of what Peter found:

Now all that being said, I'm 99.99% sure it is nothing and they just changed the picture.
Which makes total sense depending on when they put in the timeline thing. Maybe it wasn't part of the original script.
The golden gate bridge doesn't exactly scream crazy modern technology that a picture of Times Square does and wouldn't have worked as well to show the difference in the two worlds.

Whatever happened with Maeve and the techs? They ended episode 8 with the techs coming to get her and then we see her with the bandito. Did I miss it? Were they robo-techs and she pulled her Jedi mind trick on them. Waive her hand in their face and say "I am not the host you're looking for."

sounds like you missed a chunk of the beginning. she was being diagnosed by Bernard and ended up using the jedi mind trick on him to get back into the park.

I wonder how many actors will get Emmy nominations will this series attain? I expect Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, will get nominations but I feel Jeffrey Wright in particular has been outstanding as Bernard may pick up another Emmy for best supporting actor.

I only previously knew Jeffery Wright as Felix in some of the Bond movies. He was fairly 'meh' in those. I do think Jeffrey Wright has been particularly good in Westworld. I'm not sure what will happen next, but it would be unfortunate to lose him in the remaining seasons, if that's where the story leads.
But as far as Emmy nominations go, it is too hard to pass up nominating Anthony Hopkins. I hope in the finale he truly becomes a villain. I think Ford must have had some influence on the demise of Arnold.

I've only seen Wright with a beard (Hunger Games, Boardwalk Empire), so when I Wikipedia-ed his career it had a photo of him at Tribeca in 2007. It blew my mind!

There really has been no 'weak link' in terms of acting, they've all done a great job but I think in particular, based on how heavily they're used Jeffrey Wright and Ed Harris have been excellent but....you just cant outshine Hopkins.

Really liked this article. Please don't try to turn this show into another Lost. The mystery is not the central driver of the show. It's about the deep questions we have about what it means to be human and the consequences of power.

That was exhausting. And pretty satisfying. Not sure where next season is going to go, there's only so many people left in the park.

Great finale
I think the reveal of the two time frames could've been a bit better. Maybe showing Williams storyline through him.
The ending was unreal though. No one couldve predicted that.
The look on the MiBs face when he got shot was great. Like a sigh of relief and excitement
