Flames needed to be in the top 3 to build the right roster. Those are the differences between perennial playoff clubs and cup rosters. Sometimes you need to be lucky. Oh well.

I have full faith in our scouting staff to do great at 6.
Honestly, I'm just happy that the Oilers were bumped back 2 spots into 4th.

Probably repeating what's already been said but if Edmonton and Vancouver do in fact want defenseman then Calgary is golden for this draft.

So one of Dubois or Tkachuk is a real possibility. Especially with Edmonton desperate for d-men.

I see the primary risk being Edmonton trading down for someone who wants to step up and get Tkachuk or Dubois.
