1) Too Small and Soft
2) Lack of Top 6 Forwards
3) Wideman's contract
4) Special Teams
5) Goaltending
6) Lacking top end prospects
7) Smid's Contract
8) Raymond's Contract
9) Bouma's Contract
10) Expansion Draft
Top two problems with this thread:
1) Keeps going completely off topic
2) When it gets on topic someone takes it right back off again...

Does anybody have any summary of Jankowski's play in Stockton? That was my intent yesterday when I bumped this thread from page 3.
I absolutely see the Canuck side of Flames fans fighting amongst themselves stupidly, when the 23 page thread about a player has no discussion about said player's play from the last week.

Boeser and Connor 1st team all stars as freshmen, yikes. WPG and VAN have a couple solid prospects there. I really liked what I saw from Werenski at the World Juniors as well, CBJ has a good one there.
I'm impressed. His lateral movement is awesome, he has tons of skill. With that kind of vision and lateral movement he'll be an NHL'er for sure. He was channelling some Johnny there making some room and getting real shifty.
He's better than I expected with skating and vision, was thinking he'd be like Colborne real slow and heavy but Jankowski is pretty much the opposite, very mobile and agile. He'll get a few games next year.

That assist to Hathaway is really nice. Jankowski sees he's 1-on-5 and just calmly holds onto the puck, goes for a skate behind the net, and sets the table with the good China for Hathaway.
This kid is a player. I'll keep repeating this, the only legitimate concern about him in his draft year was his quality of competition. Everything else was exactly what you look for in a prospect. Size skill speed and a centre.
Feaster, you don't always have your moments, but when you have them, you have them.

Nice to see people finally coming around on Jankowski. That is why it is important to watch the games these guys play, so you can see first hand what type of player they are. Stats don't tell the whole story on some of these kids.

Naw, if I wanted to say "I told you so" I would have just said "I told you so." This is more of a learning lesson for the stats crowd. Don't get your poo in a knot when a guy isn't scoring a ton of points, especially in a defense first system. Also, don't get too high when a player is ripping up a CHL league on a good team. Context is everything.
