First of all, the most recent example you can find is MA Fluery, and he spent a season in the AHL. So did Hextall and Vernon.

Starting the season with Jon Gillies as our #1 goalie would be the dumbest thing known to man. It's nutty you're seriously thinking it.

I know some people have been giving Hudler a pass because he's allegedly nursing some injury, but that doesn't explain why he's continually passing the puck directly into Nashville skates every time he has the puck.
