Oh my god I miss Jay and Dan. I love how they start egging them on later in the interview. And the look on Jay's face during the end when Conor and Nate are just straight insulting each other.
Conor and Nate are hilarious. It's like watching Ali v anybody.
LAS VEGAS — The first UFC event on Canadian soil in 2016 will take place in Ottawa on Saturday, June 18, with a UFC Fight Night event.
UFC officials have confirmed the news with Postmedia, and an official announcement will come from UFC president Dana White on Friday at the organization’s “Unstoppable” press event in Las Vegas prior to the UFC 196 weigh-ins.
A venue and main event for the fight card are still to be determined, but broadcast details have been confirmed. The event will air on TSN5 and RDS2 in Canada and FS1 in the United States.
“I’m excited to tell you that we’re going to be coming to the beautiful nation’s capital, one of my favourite cities in the country,” said Tom Wright, the executive vice-president of UFC Canada, Australia and New Zealand, speaking with Postmedia Thursday.
“We’ve always wanted to come to our nation’s capital and we know that Ontario is a strong market for us.
“(Ottawa) is a nice distance between Montreal and Toronto and Kingston, it’s a great sports town, and we can’t think of a better city to mark the 20th UFC event in Canada than our nation’s capital.”
Question for you MMA regulars - about what time would the Holm and McGregor fights be on? I'm going to the Roughnecks game Saturday but we want to get out of there and see the last two fights.
Also, someone told me that the Elbow River Casino will be showing the fights - anyone know if this is true or not? Or know of any place close to the Dome that will be showing them?
You missed nothing. The event as a whole was boring, and a lot of waiting between fights.
Live MMA is pretty terrible IMO. Its something that seems like it would be amazing, but unless you have amazing seats I think you just spend money to sit in the stadium and watch it on the big screen anyway. Unfortunately you're basically paying to be the "live studio audience". I've never sat ringside, and that might be a different experience, but I've had pretty good seats at other events and its underwhelming.

As expected UFC 198, which features a heavyweight title fight, will take place in the Brazilian city of Curitiba, officials today announced.
The long-rumored card, formally “UFC 198: Werdum vs. Miocic,” takes place May 14 at the 40,000-seat Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.
The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
As previously reported, champion Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC), who’s No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings, takes on No. 3 Stipe Miocic (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) in the headliner. Werdum initially was slated to rematch Cain Velasquez, who pulled out of a planned February bout with an injury. The champ, who looks for his first title fight, instead takes on Miocic, who’s knocked out Mark Hunt and Andrei Arlovski in his two most recent bouts.
In the co-headliner, former champ Vitor Belfort (25-11 MMA, 14-7 UFC), who’s ranked No. 5 at middleweight, takes on No. 4-ranked Ronaldo Souza (22-4 MMA, 5-1 UFC).

I assume Cowboys Casino would be showing them as well. I would guess depending on how the under card goes, you should plan for after 10 pm for the main events. Just a rough guess though.

They are both scheduled for 25 minutes, so it might start even earlier than 10:00 PM.
So is it just me or does MacGregor/Diaz have "upset" written all over it?
Or is Conor just going to kick the hell out of Nate?
I think if Conor can feint his way inside Diaz's range and stay off the ground with him, he will this handedly. That being said, Diaz has a way of making it work his way too. I'd like to see Conor win personally, and if I were a betting man, I'd put money on Conor as I think he will get into Diaz's head as the fight goes on.

Yes Elbow River shows the fights in their sports bar, it gets packed though, 2 hours before the last McGregor fight it was standing room only.

Last time I checked nothing at Cowboys.
