Didn't watch it, but looks like a good bounce-back game.

Was meh. They once again play a team with a top star out and scrape out a win. They get nothing from two starters. Still refuse to give the ball to JV who is an auto double double. DD has gone south as teams know they just have to rough him up to get him off his game.
They did however play better defense. They better hope that Demarre makes a big impact when he gets healthy. IF he does and IF he can stay healthy.,

Scola did his best to give strength to the naysayers who thought that the Raptors should have traded for a PF upgrade. He does not look good at all right now, and is taking way too many shots (partly because defenses are happy to give him those shots).
And Anthony Davis. Stunning performance. And then you remember that he's still only 22. Glad the Raptors aren't in the West, because if the Pelicans ever put the right pieces around him, look out.

Raptors are going after Joe Johnson with him now being bought out. Not sure if I like that fit or not. Also doubt he signs anywhere but Cleveland but we'll see.

Yeah, he's a useful player but on the Raptors... maybe they eventually put Carroll at PF, Johnson as SF, and take Scola out of the rotation? I get a sense they'd really like to play a lot more smallball if they had the personnel to do so. But if Cleveland really wants him, they'll get him.
Speaking of Cleveland, the game tomorrow might be one of the biggest regular-season games in franchise history: a chance to pull within 2 games of Cleveland and win the season series, setting up the potential to make a run at 1st in the East. Lose the game, and the margin is four games, plus losing the tie-breaker.
But who knows, that post-all-star-break beatdown of Atlanta looked so huge last year, and then the team just folded from that point onward.

How can Joe Johnson on the Raps be a bad thing (assuming the price is right)? I'll take him any day of the week.

Add Andre Miller as a PG backup as well. Can't go wrong with that.

That's such an odd rule in the NBA that you can buy out a player mid-season.

Joe Johnson would be an awesome pickup. Still a very useful player and an a Raptor killer. I hope if he does not choose the Raps which he won't (who would) that he goes West and plays with OKC.

The more I think about this, it's pretty much true right? I can't think of a bigger game in Raps regular season history. Not just how big the game is for the standings, but this is clearly the two best teams in the East so it's a big time matchup too. Think Cory Joseph needs to be a big factor tonight.

Crazy thought here...but maybe give the ball to JV on the block? Drives me crazy that we don't look for him in there at all.

So the greatest bit of luck in Raptors history undoubtedly has to be Steve Nash not signing, and then trading for Lowry instead right? Thanks Colangelo!

I'd say that's the best performance in Raptors history given the quality of both the performance and the fact DeRozan was sick and a non-factor. Simply surreal from Lowry, refuse to lose or what.
