Pretty disappointing start if you are a Hawks fan. Maybe the long games are starting to wear the team down especially the defensemen that are getting a lot of minutes.
Kesler is a dick but he is right when he says the Hawks cann't take the physicality forever. Long games, injuries on D and the Ducks being the bigger team are just going to be too much for Chicago.

Resolute...my problem with this officiating philosophy is that by NOT enforcing the rules, the Refs DO "decide the outcome of the game". The unfair advantage of uncalled penalties was demonstrated on Kesler's and Perry's goals, allowing goals that shouldn't have counted, and denying deserved penalties, and only a fairly lucky (but earned) goal by Kane, even gave the team that, mostly, followed the rules (Crawford should have gotten PIMs for chopping those dirtbags that were bumping him) a chance.
Why did Yzerman trade Thompson for a 4th and a 7th? I get that Tampa is deep at centre but it seems ridiculous considering how hes played these two rounds.
Anaheim has a chance to be the first team to win the Cup without a top 3 draft pick since the 2001 Colorado Avalanche. Lindholm at 6th overall is their highest pick (Though Dany Heatly played 6 games before being sent down and later traded.)

Didn't Detroit in 2008 also have no top 3 draft players?
